An error occurred while saving the comment Oh, I had the same problem myself. External studios ruining my templates, unlocking, merging layers, deleting things that they found confusing...
But what I think is going to happen if this feature get added, is a lot of tutorials on 'how to unlock a password protected layers' in Ai :) Again, a user can export and import a PDF to partially bypass a restriction.
I tried to solve this by linking a password-protected PDF in templates... but Ai requires a password to place it.
So I vote, but cautiously, because I don’t believe this solution will solve the problem. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Maxi, I am going to merge this request with the larger one on brushes.
But this will make your request about actions vanish basically. Can you log it as a separate request, please (it seems like it’d be the very first one one about actions on iPad)? Do comment here, please, when you are done. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I afraid I do not fully understand the request... Even looking in the file did not help. Must be a translation issue. Can you explain it in a different way?

An error occurred while saving the comment Hm.
When I need something like this, I open a second window for the document (Window > New Window). Then I tear this tab off and resize it, just like you do with a Navigator panel. It has zooming options (because it’s just another viewport to your current document).
Does it work for you, Caleb? -

You can do it natively now, by choosing the standalone Delete Anchor Point Tool and clicking a point with Shift held.
This is an obscure way, and you can vote to make it more accessible — please vote here

An error occurred while saving the comment You can do it natively from a certain version, choosing Delete Anchor Point Tool (a solo tool, not the sub-mode of the Pen tool) and click a point with Shift held. Not a very known thing and not the best way to access it, I know, but there is one.
If you want to vote for making it more accessible — please vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/43794129-add-a-way-to-quickly-access-smart-delete-point-com
And if you are a user of AstuteGraphics plugins... you should be, because it is worth it.

An error occurred while saving the comment That is not true.
Scatter brush has been this broken for YEARS. It didn’t get worse, it’s you just think that previous Ai versions were better :)Here, I reproduced the art you have (that brushed piece of it) in latter CC and CS2.
They look identical!
So:
1. Sure I vote for fixing it!
2. To workaround, select the circle and do Object > Path > Add Anchor Points several times. An error occurred while saving the comment Russ, I’m glad that you posted this. Scatter Brush always used to behave like this, and I’m happy that you still feel it’s bad, enough to show and tell.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ai and Ps and other apps have slightly different paradigms for layers.
In Ps everything is a layer. In Ai 'layers' are usually 'root groups', and all objects, while being layered, are not called layers. So Delete does delete the selected objects, but the layer that does contain these, is always selected.... thus making Delete work for Layers will delete all objects on it, which is not suitable for a lot of users. We could have targeted a Layer... but there is no hotkey for that too! I believe having it would have solved the problem, and this is what I vote for.

An error occurred while saving the comment For some reason you are missing the Blank Document Preset section in this tab.
But I agree, modern New File is ridiculous. I never use it.
Good that it can be turned off, in Preferences > General > Use legacy 'File New' interface — tick it on.
Moving the entry to bug reports. -

Sufian, you mean 'Anti-aliasing ' option in the JPEG/TIFF Options dialog window? Because 'Supersampling' is not a correct term I believe...
Does it switch for you into 'None'? Can you explain a bit more? There are many ways to export an image from Illustrator, and I know which are you using, because it always stays anti-aliased for me as I export stuff.
