An error occurred while saving the comment Ah, yes, same deal. Adds one handle.
Sure, I have a plugin to kill these afterwards, but why create these in the first place... -

An error occurred while saving the comment Something is off with reading back the encoding in the legacy files, I suppose... Worth checking further, I agree. Can you share these files, please?
Send them to sharewithai@adobe.com, and mention the link to this report — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/51068689An error occurred while saving the comment Randy, these names (as well as some effects’ other presets’ names) get recorded when a file is written — so It feels like the locale of the computer this template was saved at doesn’t match the one this template gets open at... Can you please check what language does the machine that originated it uses, and what it is for other computers?

An error occurred while saving the comment Akshaya, it is exactly like the GIF attached to the original report, nothing changed.
1. Create a circle (I did this in a CMYK Print-based doc)
2. Fill with a default gradient, remove stroke
3. Make a copy of it
4. Change the type of one into Perceptual, leave the other Classic
5. Export a PDF with a low resolution for images, to instantly spot the rasterization
6. Look at the PDFThe result is bad. While the ellipse’s edge with the Classic gradient is true vector, the Perceptual one is just a raster blob. It should be a raster image CLIPPED into ellipse.
An error occurred while saving the comment Not confirmed. The bug is still present, the edges are still rasterized.

Hi,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
We are unable to reproduce this issue in house. We need your help in getting this issue reproducible.
Kindly provide a video and Test file(Via File→Package) with some steps with which you are facing issue and share with us in a zip file at sharewithai@adobe.com. Please mention the title of this issue as the subject of the mail.
Please Also let us know if you have been using any 3rd Party plugin while facing this problem.
Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we might need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
If yes, then please do let me know about your available time so that I can schedule a connect session accordingly.
Our time zone is IST (+5:30 GMT).We are available between 8.00 am to 8.00 pm…
An error occurred while saving the comment There is nothing to package, really.
In a Print-based document I created a guide (and changed the color to magenta to better see it on white).
I toggled the style to be dotted.
I created a rectangle and an area text object.
Immediately the guide jumped (visually) 1 px away (while solid goes through the edge perfectly).
I zoomed with Opt/Alt- wheel back and forth and it jumped (visually) even further away.
I tested it with no plugins (I hate doing that, it kills my plugin toolbars) — no difference.
In CPU preview mode it looks OK.

An error occurred while saving the comment I see.
Does it allow a certain tolerance, to include less strict rules, or color conversion errors? ...was it ever needed in your workflow? An error occurred while saving the comment Hector, Recolor dialog allows to map selected colors to a chosen library, using the 'Limit' button... not in the same way your script does, with a clear informing, but just automatically. Why did you prefer to develop a script instead of using the built-in method?
An error occurred while saving the comment I’d say very slim. Based on the activity here, the team rarely picks scripting requests these days, putting their effort in other areas.
I will create a request based on your report for you.An error occurred while saving the comment Hmm, there is not much visual difference... Do you mean you were able to workaround the problem?
Script API doesn’t provide this functionality, true... A script can try to call an action that does it, but dynamically creating actions is prone to error... The script itself is interesting, but feels like a niche tool, so it’s good you are developing it.

Seems to not happen anymore in latest builds. Please comment if you still get anything like this.
An error occurred while saving the comment I’m still digging and checking :) This place is vast and accumulated a lot of entries before I got here... if you encounter anything similar or new — don’t hesitate to come and report.
An error occurred while saving the comment G Lind, how does it behave today? In both CPU and GPU modes?
If it’s still off — can you share more details on your color setup? Screenshots of the settings in Bridge, Ai, InD, Ps (of configuration files themselves), the test files, your OS specs — the more you provide, the higher the chances the team would be able to recreate this problem in house.
Or is it just gone and it’s all right now? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Emma, it seems like it doesn’t happen anymore, and freeform gradients today respect global swatches.
Does it work as expected for you? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Based on your screenshot of the Appearance panel, the text has an additional fill applied on the object level. This renders one more fill for all characters, above their own fill, covering them completely. To fix this, you’d have to select the text object and use Clear Appearance button in the panel. You can go to the parent level of the text also by clicking the 'Type' row at its top when editing the text. The small icon with black and white fill-stroke signals the text has custom appearance, otherwise it’d have 'no appearance' there.
I believe you figured this out long ago, just wanted to make sure.

An error occurred while saving the comment Derek, can you reproduce this problem today?
If yes — can you please share these test files and the exact color settings (as screenshots or the configuration files) used, along with your OS and GPU details, so the team can try to recreate this in-house? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I design large scenes as well, and 1:10 is barely enough to unwrap all the scaffolding, and I have to use 1:100 instead. The real pain is exporting. I live where inches aren’t used, and have to use PPCM and fractioned values to export, and Ai supports these poorly. I’d say it doesn’t. I juggle the numbers daily... 50 ppcm is 127 ppi, and 127 is a prime number, and I can’t go lower than this, because I can’t divide it and make something like a half, 63.5 — Ai would round the value.
I made two reports on this:
1. Add ability to use PPCM along with PPI, as Photoshop does — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403901
2. Add ability to use fractional values for resolution everywhere — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403898For now I have to use a ton of post-processing to solve it, actions, scripts, batching...
So yeah, I’m all in the large canvas... or better the no difference and just the unlimited canvas (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/20395555), the infinite one (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38129344)
The current approach is way too flawed... UserVoice has roughly 70 problems reported about it: broken offset, broken brushes, broken this and that...
We should really report and upvote to push the need.An error occurred while saving the comment Not 'lies', but uses a very much legal user scale coefficient, like UserUnit :)
But I agree it is hidden and the handling of it is not consistent across different apps.
That’s why I still avoid large canvas and prefer working in actual scaled setup....

The issue seems to visible at our end after closing the Illustrator and reopening the file. However, it is just the value does not get updated in the pop up panel. The transformation change on the object happens fine and is reflected properly in the properties panel as well. Let us know if you are experience similar behavior or not.
An error occurred while saving the comment Can’t reproduce on Windows 10 in 30.2.1
The value in the dropdown panel called from Control updates for me correctly (as well as the art)...
Does anyone else have it on Windows? can it be a Mac-only problem? -

An error occurred while saving the comment There was a similar request on the topic:
Layers Panel: Layers Name Available Width
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38423854An error occurred while saving the comment Rudy, this space is reserved for tint values for global and spots colors, just like the screenshot shows, where the swatch at the bottom is a tint of another swatch above. There’s a tiny gap left still, and it can fit ~4 more symbols instead of ellipsis, I agree, I’m upvoting this anyway... but it’s not THAT much space as you think :)

This got solved with enabling the 'Fade region outside Artboard' back in the Artboard Options dialog.
An error occurred while saving the comment You have 'Fade region outside Artboard' disabled in the Artboard Options dialog. Can you enable it back and try again?

An error occurred while saving the comment Kyle, do you still have a problem like this today?
If you do — can you please share a test file, along with the full details on your PC configuration?
Either share them here, if you are OK with it, or send them all together to sharewithai@adobe.com (and mention the link to this report, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39016630)
