Black canvas when creating or opening a document
When creating a new document or opening an existing document in Illustrator, I get a black screen (see attached). I have to resize the window to be able to work. This is not ok.
Version 29.1, im using windows 11

Alejandro, I’m afraid it’s nothing I can advise for now. The majority of the team is absent due the holidays.
There are some general things you can try, like resetting preferences, downgrading, trying the Beta... but in this case it feels like it won’t help :( -

There should be many way to acquire the data.
For example, open your Windows OS settings, then go to System, Display, extended settings, and then check the 'video adapter settings' (or a similar looking link — it may differ from 10 to 11, I can’t tell for sure). This should open a small dialog with the description of your GPU. If you then click the Properties button, it should open another one, but with the Driver tab visible. There you’ll be able to find the version of the driver. -

Can you share full details on the GPU and the driver version it uses?
