The choice of the type of a symbol is sticky in the latest version of Illustrator. If a user toggles it to Static, it remains Static when another symbol is created — and vice versa.

We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.2

i'm working since 26th October with 23.0.1 beta version (and updated recently with official release).
With small files no problem but today with a larger one (about 100Mb) the saving is very slow... (i try also deselecting 'PDF compatible file').
No crashes or freezing but maybe there's something more to be adjusted?ps. i have to poitn out that something wrong happening with this operations:
- using the reflect tool (rotating a bitmap image) and clicking the center of rotation... (remains attached to the cursor and nothing respond for about 2 mins);
- drag an element from the Library (created with previous versions) doesn't works until i make a new layer;
- move a text from the anchor with Direct selection... sometimes is moving only the anchor and not the text;

Maybe it depends parameters selected for export.
Try with higher quality (8/10) and resolution (250/300dpi).

I'm using the version (fix) 23.0.1 from about 1 day and now everything seems to work fine.
no crashes or bugs i can point out.I do not deny that the problems with the officially released version got me a little disappointed as it came out concurrently with the annual conference.
But after founded the issue with a reinstallation of the previous version I did not waste a lot of time.376 users do not represent a significant number compared to millions (?) but we must also consider that maybe not all have already installed the new version and not all have written in this forum.
I hope that soon the beta version (23.0.1) became an official (stable) release.
I do not expect refund but, as a subscriber and NOT betatester, Adobe should think to some "benefits" or symbolic discount on the next annual renewal.

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

A dimension tool would be useful.
At least for linear path and angle.
i'd like a parametric one if possible (auto updating values changing the lenght of segments).
