    They don't have money
    They don't have resources
    They don't have enough employees
    They don't have intention...
    As ever.... pay and wait...

    Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!

    Dear Illustrator Community,

I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.

While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.

    Our Approach

We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.

It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

Unheard community... next step? No support provided as we all pay for.... next step?
Legal maybe? We are on it. We are done.

TBH, Adobe technical staff is useless. Sorry if anyone get upset with this, but it's unbelivable that a company who gets ~80 €/$ per user/month (as Adobe Creative Cloud has over 33 million subscribers on 2024... Google said) can't pay a decent and qualifyed staff to improve this stucked improvements.

    Public robbery.

    25 seconds to open a document on a 13900k with RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 RAM and nvme 4.0 with 7600 MB/s... hylarious...

Not to mention when the file is finally loaded, GPU changes tu CPU preview..... OH MY GOD.... Change this please......

Multithread please.... "force GPU" to not change to CPU please.... we need to work faster... i can learn a new language while waiting Ilustrator .... for sure....

The intended way of setting a default font is to edit document profiles. These files are located in folders like 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2023\Support Files\Required\New Document Profiles\[language]\' on Windows and 'Macintosh HD > Applications ▸ Adobe Illustrator 2020 > Support Files > New Document Profiles > [language]' on Macs.

Make a copy of the one you want to use someplace else, open it in Illustrator, make your changes, replace the original and then use it when creating a new file.

There are many tutorials on the web about managing these, like this one: https://productivista.com/new-document-profiles-saves-your-default-settings/

However, this way indeed is not the most discoverable. Please continue to vote and leave comments if you want this to be improved.

It can't be changed after document size is created, you need to create with big numbers at the beginning.

The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.

Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.

The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman

Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

Affinity Designer has 16 bits per channel... Maybe it's time to move.

I'm waiting for it, huge CPUs, huge data transfers, HUGE AdobeRGB gamut monitors... and POOOR Software to work with it.
