How important is this to you?

    Hi Everyone,

All the effect checkboxes have now been set to ON by default, and are sticky (meaning that if you disable preview, on next launch of Illustrator preview will remain disabled). This functionality now is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

    What’s new in 24.1: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback.

    Hello all,

This functionality is now available in all the public builds starting V29.0.

To use this functionality, simply select colors from your swatches panel and click on 'create gradient' in the swatch panel options.

Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!

    Hi Everyone,

This has been completed, and has available since June 2020 release (version 24.2)

Please go to Illustrator preferences > General > and select “Show/Hide Rulers” (refer attached screenshot). After checking this, if you hit ‘Show Rulers (Ctrl/Cmd + R)’, then the rulers will appear in every document (new and old), even after relaunching Illustrator.

Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback.

When I am zoomed in and drag an object - for example draw a rectangle or line that reaches the end of the window while dragging, the artboard scrolls but the image is not refreshed. Only the ruler shows me, that I am scrolling... Even when I stop dragging and release the mousebutton, the image is not fully refreshed. Otherwise: when I drag the Marquee-Tool to the end of the window, scrolling starts and the image gets constantly refreshed while dragging. This is the way I would normally expect it to be, regardless of the the Tool I am using. Illustrator behaves this way since I know it and I really don’t understand why it does so. Performance can’t be the reason. Even old Macromedia Freehand, 15 years ago could handle this - being a PowerPC App, running under Rosetta on an old Intel-Mac...
