The new feature worked great when i had 6 paths with 36 overlaps, but I pushed it and I got this when trying to intertwine these 7 paths with i think 116 overlaps.

If this is something that is still happening for you, please share a test file you can reproduce this problem with, along with the video showing this happening for you, so that the team can try to reproduce it and investigate.

same problem, also not showing points selected with direct selection tool (though you can still move them with direction pad) - show bounding is on

your recreation is nice, could it be that my use of the stroke gradients factored in?
