An error occurred while saving the comment Dan commentedVersion 26.0.1 – Mac OS X Big Sur 11.6.1
When I place or create any object on an Illustrator artboard (or the pasteboard) and right-click, the drop-down menu pops up about 8-10cms away from the object.

As per the comment, the solution might be to check the Constrain Angle value in Preferences > General (Cmd/Ctrl + K) — it should be 0.
If you still have this issue when it’s set to 0, please comment.

I am having the same problem... I draw a new rectangle using the rectangle tool, and the rectangle is slightly rotated.
Thanks a lot Adobe, THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! This really stuffed me up recently when I saved a load of my clients' logo file types... over 140 logos saved, all with this slight rotatation that i didn't notice until I zoomed in on one of the logos. What a waste of my time!

Seriously Adobe, I am growing so tired of all these bugs! What is going on with your quality control? Do you have work experience kids working on CC apps these days or what?

An error occurred while saving the comment Dan commentedDammit Adobe, what the *&*. - I just spent an hour on a logo, got it perfect and then Illustrator crashes. There are no files in the DataRecovery folder on my Mac like there should be, according to my Illustrator preferences which clearly states where autorecovery (which I had set to 1 minute saves) is supposed to be located on my Mac. But there are NO RECOVERY FILES. So there's an hour down the drain.
FFS Adobe, will you just FIX THE APPS YOU ALREADY HAVE first, before coming out with millions of new apps all the time. Illustrator's autosave has SUCKED since I first starting using this godforsaken program back in 2003.
FIX IT!
Oh its happening to me... MacBook Pro 2021 - Illustrator 27.5.
AI, PS AND INDD ALL FORGET MY WORKSPACES TOO.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH TIME THIS HAS COST ME!
******** ADOBE, GET YOUR S**T TOGETHER, you are driving me NUTS!
YOUR SOFTWARE IS SO BUGGY THESE DAYS... THE WORST IT'S EVER BEEN... BY FAR!
What kind of MORONS do you have working there doing the app updates? Or are you paying chimpanzees?
