  1. Customize suffix for duplicated artboards

    It would be great if the user could choose which suffix will be used for duplicated artboards. Instead of
    MyArtboard copy
    MyArtboard copy copy
    …

    should be

    MyArtboard 1
    MyArtboard 2
    MyArtboard 3
    …

    or

    MyArtboard A
    MyArtboard B
    MyArtboard C
    …

  2. Toggle View Assets outside the Artboard

    One of my favorite features in indesign is being able to toggle between a work view and a final preview view that make all grids, tools, and artwork outside the dartboard invisible so that I can see how the final composition looks on the page, and I think that would be a great feature for Illustrator, where areas outside the dartboard can be a jumbled mess of old work and saved previous versions, or artwork that peaks onto the page but hangs off it as well.

  4. Advanced Rename Tools for Artboards with Find & Replace

    Would love to have a feature that allows a mass-rename feature to artboards the same way you can rename files in Mac OS: Add Text, Replace Text, Format. As a designer who exports many artboards for the web and is constantly renaming file version numbers for easy export - this would be a dream!

  5. Arrange all artboards reference point

    I don't understand which is the starting point of the arrange all artboards, I thought it was the 0 (zero) of the global rulers, but after the arrange all commands the top left artboard is not align with the rulers.

    Is there any answer to this or is it a bug?

  6. Align multiple icons to the center of multiple artboards

    I want to align multiple icons to the center of pre-existing artboards. I don't want to have to hand select each icon and align horizontally and vertically to every single artboard.

  7. Add a button to save document presets like Photoshop has

    Photoshop has a button to save presets when you create a new document. I love that feature makes my job easier, I wish Illustrator had that same button instead of having to save the files as templates. So much simpler and faster with the button right there.

  9. Add option when creating New View to opt out from changing zoom level

    The custom Views is a godsend for complex artwork, but sometimes it would be nice to keep the zoom level and toggle only the Layers settings (visibility, lock status, etc). So either an option when saving the custom View, or a program-wide preference setting would be highly appreciated. In this way, the request for a layer visibility toggle shortcut could also be partially addressed.

  10. Show all tabs when switching to fullscreen mode

    When switching to Full Screen Mode I can only see the document I'm working with. Why not show all the open documents like tabs?

    I don't understand why the tabs disappear just because I'm switching to fullscreen.

    I am looking for an option in the Adobe Illustrator to have the layers locked with a password. so i can send the source file to the other users only to modify what they have to and not touch my content.

  12. Making a light Prezi-like presentation mode inside adobe Illustrator by defining views and a presentation view panel

    Please add a presentation mode functionality, something like Prezi or Focusky like animations between views inside Illustrator itself.

    The user should have ability to define views inside artboards. Each view consists of scale, rotations and position like Prezi, on every slide change the view changes animatingly between the views.
    For now I use Shift + Page Down and Page Up to switch between artboards. But not inside an artboard and not with animations. I push f twice and enter full screen and its cool. But there can be a lite presentation mode managed by a small panel, containing views, which…

  13. Right click lock unlock on layer will lock inverse and lock/unlock

    Sometimes I have 10-20 layers, half of which are unlocked. i then want to work on just one so i would lick to right click the lock symbol and it isolates that layer, locking all others

    It woks in Ai already. You have to hold Opt/Alt and click the lock icon next to the layer’s name. First click will unlock any other layers first, but second will lock all other layers but the one clicked.

    Does it solve the problem?


    Same works with Toggle Visibility column.

    Photoshop does it a bit differently and skips the Show / Unlock All step.

  15. Option to Have Golden Ratio & Rule of Thirds Grid (like PS)

    For a canvas, if there is an option to get a Grid for 'Rule of Thirds' or Golden Ration.

    This will make a lot easier for the designer and will be more effective in Illustrator as compared to PS (where this option is available) where vector designs are being created.

  16. Can we rename multiple layers in one go?

    For example, we select 10 different layers, we right click and select "rename layer(s)" and then a prompt comes up where we type the name we want to assign to all the selected layers.

  17. データの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなった。

    macユーザーです。イラストレーターCC2018 にアップグレードしたところ、今までデータファイルの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなりました。お客様とのやりとりでバージョンをお客様それぞれに合わせてダウングレードしていたので、簡易的に確認ができないと不便です。他に同様のアプローチができるようになっていたら教えていただきたいです。

  18. Create new artboard within other artboard with Shift key gone in 2018

    Just switched to Illustrator 2018. In 2017 I could create a new artboard on top of another artboard by holding down the shift key and dragging with the Artboard tool. This doesn't work anymore. I can create a new artboard outside of the existing one, but I need to create multiple artboards within one main artboard. I can create a vector box where I want them all, then go to Artboard window and click Convert to Artboards, but this is many more clicks than before...not very lean.

  20. Cannot key in units like cm, mm, etc.

    Hi,
    In the most recent update that I have, 22.1, the ability to resize an artboard by typing in a number and its unit has been removed. Was this intended? Please restore this function as it makes working with various units more convenient. Thank you.
