  1. Select multiple symbols for Symbol Sprayer

    I would like to spray a random variety of (self made) icons.
    Why not select multiple symbols and have the brush iterate through this selection?

  2. Make Eyedropper to highlight text when painting formatting

    If you are holding Option/Alt with the Eyedropper you can 'paint' formatting onto text. At the moment you can't see exactly where this is applying though until you release the click. In Indesign, it highlights the text you are painting. It should be the same in Illustrator.

    This is important for formatting large piece of text, and with the lack of ability to use keyboard shortcuts when text is selected, this feature is even more important.

  3. Add an "All Minuscule" button to the character tool panel

    There's an all caps button why not the opposite. At times I've seen plenty of brands use minuscule characters for some lines exclusively. It would be nice to have templates that prevent the error to have majuscule letters or vowels when a brand doesn't want it and explaining it to the client/customer. I've made a sample you can check out. It seems simple enough to add.

  4. Add a line tangency feature to all drawing tools

    Please add a tangency feature to the pen tool. This will allow for an easier method of creating graceful line work.

  5. Print current artboard

    If my file has more than one artboard and I want to print the selected artboard, I have to press (shift + o) to see number of the artboard, then (Ctrl + P) then I have to write the number of the artboard I want to print.
    This actually so boring especially if my file work requires to print a lot.
    Please if you add an option to print dialog which is (print current artboard) that will help a lot.

  6. Make Envelope Distort to ignore the clipped part of a clipping group

    I would like it to be possible to perform an envelope distort operation so that only what is in the clipping is taken into account in the calculation of object bending. At the moment, if I have, for example, objects (like circle) in a clipping rectangle and I use the "Make with Mesh" or "Make with Top Object" option to bend the whole thing to a different shape, the bend sizes are not only limited to the clipping but to all objects that are not visible and hidden under the clipping, causing it to be badly deformed.   7. A 'snapshot' feature, similar to After Effects

    I use After Effects 'Take snapshot' feature (Shift + F5) all the time. I always go to use it in Illustrator, but it's not here. It would be very handy for referencing changes or states.

  8. Object > Repeat > Mirror needs Snapping

    When using the handles in the viewport, snapping is not available. Snapping would make all of the "Object > Repeat" functions much more useful.

  9. Under Filter > Texture: Please add another slider to size the grain particles in the filter.

    You can create a grain effect but cannot size the grain itself.

  10. Calculate surface area with Dimension tool

    With the last update, you brought the possibility of customizing the scale in the dimension tools, thank you for that. Would it be possible to obtain a new tool for calculating the surface area in m², by selecting any closed shape?

    These allow us to control a gap’s size between chosen pair of elements (quoted):

    —Drag to move the gap and resize all objects aligned along the gap.

    — Shift-drag to move the gap between only the two nearest objects.

    — Ctrl-drag (Windows) or Command-drag (Mac OS) to resize the gap instead of moving it. Adding the Shift key resizes the gap between only the two nearest objects.

  13. 「テキストからベクター生成」にレイヤーオブションを加えてください

    背景と上に乗るキャラクター等をレイヤー分けできるような仕組みを追加してください。
    たとえば、

    「下のレイヤー：波の穏やかな白い砂浜のビーチ、上のレイヤー：じゃれ合う２匹の子犬」

    というようにプロンプトに記述したレイヤー構成に従って生成されるようになると格段に使い勝手が良くなると思います。

  16. Adobe Please Update Image Trace

    Totally understand the business aspects of focusing on tools which have the most users. However Image Trace appears stuck in a time warp, and not moving forward. May be stretching but with the AI, ML tools Image Trace should be far more capable than the current form. The inability to distinguish lines in an image is of concern. You should be able to draw more interest to take raster drawings to the next level with Illustrator. Has been almost 24 years when this was released. Definitely time to take to the next level.

  17. True customisable drawing 'angles' for all tools when using SHIFT key (pen, pencil, brush).

    This is severely lacking in illustrator and has been developed by Affinity Designer with work arounds (that do not work in a suitably fluid way) by Astute Graphics for Illustrator.
    Best case scenario something is implemented like Affinity Designer in which 'constraint angles' are replaced by ‘Grid and Snapping Axis’ you are able to set and save presets of angle settings.
    These axis are set and then can be activated as a constraint on your current tool by holding shift.
    Smart guides provides this in a VERY limited way right now, the UI is very rudimentary for a setting that…

  18. Display Color Mode and Resolution (PPI) for a selected image in both Info and Properties panels

    Currently only the Control panel (which Ai team decided to hide for new users with their training-wheels Essentials workspace) shows a resolution and a color mode for a selected image, and Links (but only when expanded, which again is not the default).

    Properties shows nothing, despite the name.
    Same goes for Info panel.
    Make these better.

  19. Make scrollbars higher contrast or allow customizable colors for them

    The gray on gray scheme of the slider and handle in the scrollbars is extremely difficult to work with. Higher contrast is needed or provide the ability to customize the slider color. This is an accessibility issue for older or visually impaired users!

  20. An ability to create custom bevel profiles for 3D and Materials Extrude

    We can create our own profiles for now Classic Extrude, by modifying the Bevels.ai — located here:
    Mac: /Applications/Adobe Illustrator [version]/Support Files/Resources/[locale]
    Win: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Support Files\Required\Resources[locale]

    But changing the file does nothing to customize bevels for the modern 3D!
    They seem to be hardcoded.
    Please, make the same file to be recognized by the modern 3D, or perhaps come up with some better way, that does not require to modify a red-only file and restarting Ai — for both 3D methods.
