Illustrator - Rotation of the Artboard
Like in Photoshop it would be great if an Artist could rotate the artboard/canvas in Illustrator. If you draw a line from left to right it's never the same stroke as from up to down.
I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.
Please note: This update is currently only available in the following countries (India, Australia, Netherlands, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Canada, South Korea, UK, Italy) and will rollout globally over the next few weeks.

@dbiscs hitting the ESC key should return your artboard back to default view.
Hi, I think there may be a bug with the art board rotate, or I am doing something wrong. I rotated the artboard and now it will not return to 0 degrees (straight) it will only do angles, basically anything but straight. It appears to be snapping to any non straight angle and I can no longer work on my project now as is it stuck at a permanent angle.

@Roshi Kasliwal I'm pretty sure you can fix that error message by updating a Logitech driver on your system.

Thanks! This has been long overdue and very frustrating, but for me one of the benefits of waiting is how exciting it will be the next time I really need this, and its finally there. Looking forward to that moment.

Flipping the artwork is already available in Illustrator
I think being able to quickly flip the canvas is missing. It's so crucial to see sometimes if your design is balanced to be able to see it flipped. I don't want to always have to transform- reflect my designs to see if they work. Sometimes it's difficult with many layers. Just a quick flip canvas preview would be so awesome.
Need it in the primary version.

Should be added in AI
This feature very nice!
but It works so easily. I wish it was difficult to operate.
I am loving this new feature! Will this feature be available in the Properties Panel?

Great feature. Is it possible to lock rotation? I keep unintentionally rotating and having to click out of what I'm doing to reset rotation is a bit off putting.

Wow! This is terrific.
Thanks, Tonny. We have added shift+H shortcut and also allowing to spring load by pressing spacebar + Shift. Do you think it may not suffice?

I hope this feature come really soon, i need it madly
Hey Avinash! This is worrking really well but my opinion is that it still needs binding to an accelerator key (my suggestion: 8) so that it can be accessed quickly. The spring-loaded functionality that Photoshop has works brilliantly with their implementation and it would be great to have this in Illustrator, too!
There is a precedent for using the numeric keys (perpendicular movement with the Perspective Grid) so would this be a problem?
If you need me to clarify any of theis with a quick screen-cap I'm happy to do!

When I rotate the view and use the arrow keys to move something around, it moves around according to original view and not rotated view. It would be helpful for the arrow keys to move objects in the correct direction according to the rotated view. Thank you!
