It is not as straightforward as it may sound :) We have been working to take advantage of threads and other hardware such as GPU/Video RAM in places where it can make a higher impact. We are prioritizing areas that are slow instead of making a generic change and destabilizing the product. Product stability is the top priority for us and we have been consistently trying to improve it. We want to move with caution and make changes without compromising on the quality. Hope this helps.

Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Egor scroll down four comments. zooming with the scroll wheel is relative to the original rotation no matter how you have the view rotated. it's even more annoying than not being able to rotate the view at all, which seems par for the course
An error occurred while saving the comment This is half-working. You can rotate the view, which is great, but now zooming using Alt + Scroll Wheel zooms relative to the un-rotated canvas, so it's less great. Any fix? Windows 10, CC 25.4.1

An error occurred while saving the comment My little nephew is 9 he is learning computer programming at his school for very smart kids. He made a computer program the other day and I was genuinely surprised that this little boy is smarter than all of Adobe, Inc. combined! His program did not resize its window unless I did it intentionally. Wow! Maybe I can give you guys his contact info?

An error occurred while saving the comment I have been able to count to more than 27 since I was 4 years old, Illustrator is at least double that, should be able to count higher. Come on Illustrator!

Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
The new functionality allows searching layers by name using the searchbar in the layers panel. The users can also apply filters based on layer properties (locked, hidden etc) or objects properties (effects, text etc.). This will help to quickly find layers/objects for large documents (having multiple layers).
