1. Make the eyedropper appear with the Brush / Blob Brush tool selected by holding the Alt / Option key

   With the Brush or Blob Brush tool selected, make the Eyedropper appear by holding down the Opt / Alt key. This would allow colors within the document to be sampled just like in Photoshop, without having to keep selecting from the swatches.

2. Freeform gradient live update option

   While live update is a nice thing to have (we still wait until you make all draggable art live updated), it's still not very fast.
   Please make an option to turn off live update for freeform gradients, so a fill would update only when you release fill points.

3. Preferences User Interface UI Scaling: Drop down menu list needs to scale too.

   Drop down menu text is too small/light to tell if an item is unavailable (grayed out) I thought if I increased the UI Scaling the dropdown menu items would also appear larger.

4. Switching to gradient should use as starting gradient color the original solid color

   Switching to solid color to gradient, by default gradient should use as starting color the original solid color.

   Since imho mostly people uses solid as starting point, then converts to gradient.

   The latest Beta build 29.6.107 now uses the original solid color as a starting gradient color, instead of white, when switching to gradient.

   You can still assign the default white-to-black gradient by clicking the gradient chip in the Gradient panel or a toolbar while holding Cmd/Ctrl.

   Try it out and let share your feedback.

5. Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and show column preview on

   Hi
   On Mac, Illustrator can not save with Apple SMB and "show column preview" turned on.

   File says "Illustrator is unable to save this document... due to some unexpected errors"

   Illustrator and photoshop, please change your code to work on Apple SMB. Apple confirmed they will not change their code to fix Adobe cross platform app issues saving.

6. Illustrator Macos

   Currently Illustrator ues lots of system memory and .performance wise it's not optimized on mac, it doesn't use metal api. why in the world adobe not use metal api... now adobe need to optimize on mac to run faster and doesn't need lots of ram .

   I want metal api, run faster open faster ... still slow on imac pro

8. The Graphic Styles Panel needs to have Global and Local panels to allow persistent styles across Illustrator

   We create a lot of vector elements and having to change the fill and stroke every time is painful. No fill/No stroke as the default would be MUCH better. Why it's a white fill and black stroke is beyond me.

9. 回転させる時にある程度拡大しないと出来ないのを改善欲しい。

11. Auto convert from ft. to in. missing from cc2019

    I added my forum to make sure it wasn't a setting.

    There was a feature in cc2019 that allowed me to convert ft. to in. automatically in illustrator. This made my workflow a lot easier because I didn't have to think about the conversion it just did it for me automatically.

    I'm not sure why this was removed in cc2020, but can we get it back please???

12. Feature to be able to edit class name of SVG file. We faced some issue, when using svg of same class names in a single page.

    If we are able to edit class name of SVG files, there wont be any class override and style overide issues.

13. Anchor point lasso tool and manipulation suite.

    click to create a selection area on a selected object(s). Scale, translate and rotate selected anchor points.

    This would save lots of time when working with pre-existing artwork or if you draw something and notice afterword a certain part in too small, to big or a little out of position. Some of this is already available but require manual selection or the selection in question to be a square.

14. New text alignment icons in the paragraph panel

    I would suggest to add new text alignment icons in the Paragraph panel.

    It would be useful to have the possibility to align text to the top, the center and the bottom of a text box.

    Make artboards searchable in finder. If I would like to search for a specific Page/artboard.

    Example:
    Search: Order3 = file: Order2019 will appear in finder as that artboard named Order_3 are located in that file.

16. Don’t tell me I can’t save a document because it is saving

    I'm going back to the 2019 version. There are no benefits that I can find to using 2020. First of all, there's the issue of it telling me every time I try to do save-close that it can't close the document until it's done saving it. YES, I KNOW that - I simply don't want to sit here and wait on it, I've got other things to do.

    And on top of that, none of my fonts look pretty and clean like in 2019 and every previous version of illustrator.

    I WON'T be going back to 2020 until you can prove to me it's actually better.

17. Copy Gradient properties

    Sometimes I need to add new objects with gradient fill to my design and keep gradient annotators in the same position as another existing object.
    It would be great if a function were added that allowed copying the gradient fill properties from one object to another, keeping the gradient annotators in the same position.
    On the other hand, when I add a gradient outline to an object with gradient fill, the gradient annotators do not match between the fill and the outline. This difference is more evident the thicker the contour. Adding the option to keep outline gradient annotators in the same position as the fill gradient would be very useful, for example for trapping or bleeding.

    Sometimes I need to add new objects with gradient fill to my design and keep gradient annotators in the same position as another existing object.
    It would be great if a function were added that allowed copying the gradient fill properties from one object to another, keeping the gradient annotators in the same position.

19. Turn Off Typographers Quotes - Always Off & Stay Off - Forever Off

    Hello I use Illustrator for about 85% of my work.
    Primarily I'm doing UI Design and Planning Documents - this work is 100% online there is no print work.

    Typographers Quotes are a terrible thing for this workflow. The quotes are always messed up, it's always a ton of clicking to get rid of them and you have to do it a million times over every time you make a new document.

    Also Typographers quotes means you can't rough out ideas around code in Illustrator because it a copy/paste mess.

    The request is to have a setting as part of your creative cloud identity which means you do no print work and never want to see typographers quotes.

    Sounds like a small thing but it is a major deal and time sync from producing quality work quickly in Illustrator...

20. Allowance to change the keyboard shortcuts for Previous Artboard and Next Artboard

    I have all of my keyboard shortcuts set to the left side of the keyboard, since I draw right-handed and keep my left hand on that side of the keys. In my animation workflow, I like to scrub back and forth quickly between artboards, but I do not like the current LOCKED shortcuts for going back and forth through them:

    Previous Artboard (Currently locked to Shift-PgUp)
    Next Artboard (Currently locked to Shift-PgDn)
    First Artboard (Currently locked to Ctrl-Shift-PgUp)
    Last Artboard (Currently locked to Ctrl-Shift-PgDn)

    There is currently no listing for them in the keyboard shortcuts menu, so they cannot be changed.

    If I could change them to something like SHIFT-A and SHIFT-Z this would make my workflow so much faster, and it just seems like there should already be changeable shortcuts for these functions under Preferences/KB Shortcuts anyway.
