  1. Font scaling like photoshop has now

    Can we get illustrator to have the same type of UI scaling capabilities that Photoshop 2019 has now? I saw that illustrator added the ability to have small, medium and large interface but can we also have text scaling separately as well like small, medium, large so we can change that independently? Right now I have illustrator open and the icon size is ok but the text is too small now. So if you wanted to have the interface as small but the text as medium, thats what I'm talking about.

  2. The home button should NOT be where "File" is on every other program ever.

    Illustrator 23.0 has the home button where everyone goes to click File. This is muscle memory and I have clicked that worthless home button 6 times this morning alone. None of the other programs have made this change and it is very frustrating. Please allow the user to move or remove the Home Button.

  3. Crash Report dialogue does not accept email address with hyphen

    Crash Reporter does not comply to email format standards. My email address contains a hyphen (nils.clark-bernhard@macio.de). Crash Reporter does not accept this address. Inserting a hyphen-free email address allowed me to send a crash report.

  4. Socket support in AI scripting engine.

    Please add support for sockets in the illustrator scripting engine. Currently we have to jump through a whole lot of hoops (messaging through bridge) to be able to connect to anything in a script.

  5. Nest library groups

    Groups are nice to have now in the library but some of us have very large libraries that we're using. Please consider adding the ability to nest library groups for better organization.

  6. Collapse library groups by clicking on group titlebar.

    Love that we can now create library groups. However, in order to collapse/expand a group, we can only click on the little arrow. It would be nicer if we could click, or double click on the group title-bar to make collapsing/expanding faster. That arrow is little and takes extra time to make sure you're right on top of it if you want to expand/collapse a group.

  7. Match Width or Height to Key Object

    I would like a quicker way to match an object's width or height to that of another object. Currently I have to select the correctly sized object, copy the W value, select the next object, and paste the W value. This must be done individually for each object. A pain when you have, say, a dozen objects scattered around the artwork but you want them to all be the same size. I think it could work similarly to the "align to key object" tool.

  8. Editable Illustrator text in AfterEffects

    For years we have been copy and pasting text from Powerpoint into AfterEffects because the Illustrator file does not open in AfterEffects with editable text. Takes us ages and introduces many errors.

    Illustrator file text should just open in AfterEffects in 2018!

  9. Lock Attributes Independently

    I would like to be able to lock some attributes of an object but not others. For example, lock an object in place, but keep ability to change its colors. Or lock proportions and colors, but keep ability to move and scale, etc.

  10. Welcome Back To Illustrator screen customization

    Two changes to the Welcome Screen:

    1.- Ability to edit the "Start a New File Fast" group (like, in the US, I'd like to replace the A4 format with the more used US Letter Size?)

    2.- Add a "Clear All Recent" button/option to clear all recently opened files (or follow the similar Photoshop model to clear files).

  11. Allow to set opacity values separately from color values in gradients, like in Photoshop

    Would be nice if the Gradient Tool would function more like the one in photoshop.

    Mainly the ability to set different opacity values separately from the colour values. Not once I found myself changing my gradient shades in order to get the required transparency effect.

    In addition, it would be nice to have the variant gradient selection photoshop offers, such as Radial, Reflective, and Diamond.

  12. Simple Color Swap in entire document by selecting two global swatches

    It would be wonderful if possible to swap global swatches by selecting two swatches and swap them in the entire document. The same way it it already possible to merge them.

  16. Add back ability to scale objects using up and down arrows in Illustrator 22.1

    Add back ability to scale objects using up and down arrows in Illustrator 22.1

    You used to be able to select an object and change it's size by clicking up and down arrows (when rulers was on). Now that feature is gone, and you can't do it with Transform either. I only see the ability to manually enter numbers.

  17. A preference to not select objects by center point

    I do not want to select objects by their center point. I never do. I do not want to have to change this setting in the Attributes panel every. single. time. I want to disable object selection by center point.

  18. Dark mode / Light mode (Automatic)

    Now that macOS support a real light/dark mode, it would be really nice to have this option enabled automatically in any Adobe products when I switch from light to dark and vice versa in my system preferences.

    It would be even cooler if you added an option to change the interface automatically depending on the time of the day.

  19. Screen resolution of Illustrator 23.0 - Not recognising retina display?

    Just downloaded the new Adobe Apps as an update. All fine except illustrator. It looks massive on my screen. Seems it's not seeing retina display or can't work out the size of my display. Attached are two screenshots. One is illustrator window looking massive and Photoshop looking as it should.

  20. Customize suffix for duplicated artboards

    It would be great if the user could choose which suffix will be used for duplicated artboards. Instead of
    MyArtboard copy

    should be

    MyArtboard 1
    MyArtboard 2
    MyArtboard 3

    or

    MyArtboard A

    MyArtboard C
