commentedHow can you get the older version after you've upgraded?

commentedI've had enough, I've uninstalled it and put back the older version for this AND photoshop. Photoshop is messed up because of the shift key problem. WTF adobe???

commentedThis happens to me every day! It is super frustrating and it does seem to just happen out of the blue. I don't notice anything has changed until I go back to use one of my tools again.

commentedSure it's not just been hidden by the new "edit toolbar" function? Click the "…" ellipsis at the bottom of the toolbar, and check the "Draw" section of the flyout menu. If the rectangle tool is greyed out then hovering over it will put a blue highlight around the icon in the toolbar where it's located. If the rectangle tool *isn't* greyed out, then you can drag it from the flyout menu into the toolbar - if you drag it onto the rounded rectangle tool then it will be stacked there for selection with a click-hold.

commentedThere's no regular rectangle tool anymore- just a rounded rectangle. Can we have it back? Also, in the square or circle tools, a few versions ago the option when you enter a size value, so if you wanted a 2" circle, you'd type in 2" for width, then you used to be able to just click the word Height, and it would automatically fill with 2" so you'd get a perfect circle, but it doesn't work anymore and hasn't for a while. That was a good feature & would be great to have it back. :)

commentedSame. It's getting very tiresome to be constantly digging through tools to find where they moved to. There needs to be lock state and edit state to the toolbar. Not sure how this concept wasn't thought of during development.

commentedI'm not sure how this wasn't picked up in testing. It happens everytime I go to my toolbar. Nice idea, but there has to be some way that it's not so reactive. I reckon I'm probably working at half speed with illustrator right now due to having to reset the toolbar every other time I use it, which in my (invoice) book, makes it barely usable. I pay for a premium service, and this is not a premium service. Sort it out Adobe, it could be forgiven in older versions but this is farcical. A bad workman blames their tools, but if your tools keep running away before you can use them, then the workman gets fired.

TJ commented I've already complained on a previous thread, but it's not getting enough upvotes, it's still happening and it's still not being addressed by Adobe. And now I have SEEN it happen. The tool palettes in 2019, even at the default settings, are constantly rearranging themselves. Previously, I thought this was a problem with a "long click" that inadvertently triggered the new custom move option; however, I have now witnessed it happening in real time. I had the default set, went to click the direct select tool and the second I clicked everything moved. There was no extra clicking or dragging; it happened the second I clicked on the icon. Now instead of the default set, this is the arrangement I'm looking at... Seriously, Adobe, this is INFURIATING. This isn't some random new feature; it's the default tool set! It's like trying to drive a car where the steering wheel's constantly falling off. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP. ____ Mac OS 10.13.6

commentedI'm just going to echo what everyone else in this thread has already said. EXTREMELY frustrating to set the toolbar up to my liking, only to have the tools constantly change position on me. PLEASE FIX THIS SOON!

 commentedバグではないのでしょうが、ツールバーのアイコンが動きやすく 固定 できるようにしてもらいたい。ツールバーは感覚的に使う部分なのでとてもストレス。

commentedlove the idea of a customized tool bar, but OMG what a night mare, the tool constantly played musical chairs. I was hoping 2019 would fix 2018 bugs but guess what NOT, I finally went back to 2107. very stable. Adobe please we don't need new feature, we need a stable application, this is our life blood!!!!

commentedI did try "Advanced" there doesn't seem to be a way to reset the defaults. I can make my own toolbar, I just haven't had time :-) Thanks @egor-chistyakov.
