Resize Artboard: Fit to visible.
When dealing with a single page of artwork, resizing the artboard to artwork bounds does not take layers being hidden into consideration. So you have an artboard larger than your desired artwork.
Along with fit-to-artwork bounds and fit-to-selected artwork, can we have a third option for fit-to-visible layers, please?2 votes -
Lock tools or pallets to the edge when using multiple monitors?
I'd like to be able to pin toolbars or windows to the inside edge when using multiple monitors. I like keeping my main display clear of obstruction and have my tool pallets against the "spine" between the two monitors on the secondary display. Illustrator only allows toolbar pinning to happen on the extreme left or right of all monitors... Please allow the ability to pin to the spine/seam of the monitors.

Add Match Rotation to Global Edit Options
Global Edit has several options to narrow down the duplicates search.
These include matching appearance and size.
However, there is no way to make the tool to exclude objects that have a different rotation than the source object has.Please add this option to the Global Edit Options dropdown and make it disabled by default.

AI: trace in style of...
the new text to vector tool is amazing, especially the match to artboard/ stylepicker functionality.
Now I would like to import a photo to the artboard of an existing Illustration and trace it in the same style/simplification of this already existing vector file.

Rather than proposing a new idea, I'm endorsing this tool that Adobe previewed in 2017 at the Adobe Max conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIRz9cuDbSc
This physics engine, and possibly similar tools that could do things like detect whether one shape was on top of another (something you can effectively do using selections in Photoshop), would be extremely useful and time-saving for many illustrators. It allows illustrators to see possible ways that symbols can be tossed or fitted together without going through the tedious work of fitting them manually.
With more spacing, you could call it nesting. With less spacing, you might call it…

select and change stoke Color in text
I have text templates that require changing the fill and stroke colors. I have to select the text, go to Appearance, choose Type, and change the color. The issue is that there are several texts with different combinations throughout the day.
It would be great if I could set the three text colors as shown in the image, select one, then use an action that allows me to choose the text color, either fill or stroke, and change it to another from my swatch.

Arabic language management in the Spanish version of Illustrator
I don't want to install the Arabic version of Illustrator, I want to include the manage options for that language in my current Spanish version. I work creating designs in several languages and it's impossible to type in Arabic. The text is written changing the order of the characters, changing the meaning of the sentences. Even when I try to mix Arabic words with Spanish or English, the text ends up messed because of the lack of RTL option.

GRID in BACK/FRONT button
It would be great to have the option of GRID ON BACK and GRID IN FRONT in the Properties panel, for example. near the SHOW GRID button as when working with GRIDS sometimes it's better to have them in front and others in back and for this I have always to get into the Preferences panel so as to activate/deactivate this option and it's really annoying...

X & Y Sliders for Quicker Movement and Precision
Please make X and Y position for an object have a slider like After effects. Instead of clicking the arrow keys or putting in a value, I should be able to select and object, then hover over they X or Y value and use the slider to only affect the object in one direction. This would greatly speed up layout design and allow for more precision. After effects does this perfectly already, and I think it would be a great addition to Illustrator. I would also say this feature could be added to W and H.

MacOSと同じように、WindowsのIllustratorでも、日本語入力状態でツール切替えのショートカット（vで選択ツール・sで拡大ツール・rで回転ツールなど）が使えるようにしてほしいです。あるとないとでは、便利さが段違いですから。

The size of the box should attenuate AI generator detail
I love the new AI feature, but creating a smaller box for the AI to generate in should attenuate the detail. A simple "bird" command creates an overly-detailed drawing for the scene, even with the detail slider set to "1"

Updating artboard dropdown to include social media and saving custom artboards
The current artboards dropdown menu hasn't been changed in years. It should include social media and trending medium sizes. We should also have the ability to save artboard sizes that are custom to our needs. Just add a "Save artboard" in the dropdown or tool workspace. The current method of saving a template and then having to search, open and then resave the template takes too long and requires too many steps.

Share for Review Proof Approval
Adding functionality for "Proof Approval" would be huge! And would allow the process to remain within Adobe as opposed to having to go outside Adobe products. Turning on this functionality when needed, allowing for proof to be sent that can be officially approved within AI that:
a. Doesn't allow the user the ability to download the PDF and steal the artwork.
b. Sends confirmation that the Proof was Approved or Not Approved with feedback. This can help streamline the approval process ensuring everyone is aware when a proof is sent, and status changes (Pending, Approved, Not Approved, etc.).

Improved text editing while within an envelope
Currently if you want to edit text that's inside an envelope, depending on how warped it is, it can be difficult to edit the text directly. The workaround is to 'release' the envelope in the 'Envelope Distort' menu, edit the text, then reapply the text to the envelope using 'Make with top object'. Perhaps improve the text editing to match the shape and size of the envelope or have a popup window that displays the text in normal format and edit it that way.
In my example, the black boxes is the original text but editing has proved difficult.2 votes -
Make it possible for a Graphic Style to mark some symbols as being part of it.
So right now I have a workflow that involves making a lot of complex appearance stacks, saving them as a Graphic Style, then later bringing them into another file by hitting the 'library' button in the Graphic Styles palette and navigating to it via the Other Library file picker.
If I import a style that uses a brush or a global color swatch or a pattern swatch or a width profile, those assets will get imported. But a style that uses a symbol won't import the symbol, and this is a really annoying little exception. It is, perhaps, not surprising…

Animated Zoom for Mouse wheel
Please add the Animated Zoom function for the mouse wheel, now this can only be done using the "Z" key and the mouse movement. It is very inconvenient to scroll using alt + mouse wheel when the percentage of increase jumps from 66% to 100% in one turn of the mouse wheel. The trackpad on the macbook zooms very well, but it is not convenient to use. Add a switch to the "General" settings next to the scroll wheel " Use Animated Zoom to scroll with the mouse.
