It would be extremely helpful if there were a text-markup tool in Share for review just like in indesign.

Let the Recolor / Generative Recolor work in the Swatches Palette
Please let those tools works on Groups of Swatches too.
This comes in handy to make sets of colours with e.g. the same Hue, but a different Saturation.1 vote -
layer Merge Down
So, what I think could easily be done is just taking the already existing Layer Merge Down code from Photoshop, and literally just pasting it where it would work. I think this would be very useful.

Please improve the functionality of the files when multiple artboards are designed and the design is complex in nature.
Illustrator is hanging or freezing when complex path designs are being designed or multiple dartboards are designed in a single file.
I am using a MacBook Pro M2 Chip which is known for its processing and still facing so much issues with heavy and complex files.1 vote -
Add a way to resize an exported image with Export As method to a specific size, like Save for Web can
In the old "Save for Web" function (please keep it!) it was possible to resize "on the fly" the destination image (EG my file is 8000 px but I can save an exported version of 800 without opening and resizing afterwards)
In the "Export as.." function none of this is possible.1 vote -
Tool icons still not displaying correctly.
Can you please fix the tools various icons onscreen. Arrows showing as hands / scroll tool / rotation etc.

ArialMT in Save and Save As
Now the Save and Save As are creating an SVG with
.st0{font-family:'ArialMT';}
A better solution is
.st0{font-family:'ArialMT',’Arial’;}Like it is in the export for screens

Make it flexible to stylize graphs and edit data without messing the graph design
Please allow it that we can stylize the graphs without ungrouping it so we can still edit the data anytime as needed. Creating graphs (data and style) should be efficient. As of the latest version, every time we edit graph data, the horizontal lines (x-axis) get messed up. (Please see attachment with file name: graph with style...)
And there is this wide space on the start (left of the graph). Not sure why the graph tool has this wide space from the left side every time it generates the graph. (Please see attachment with file name: graph wide space...)

Dynamic Connector Symbols
Connect two objects with a third, dynamic symbol.
A new class of Symbol that can be assigned properties of Rotate, Extend, Scale etc. and a new class of Group called an Assembly.
e.g 1. A bullet point and a number in a circle can be connected by a symbol set with the properties of Radial Rotate and Extend, so the when either the bullet or the number are moved the connector symbol adjusts its length to remain anchored to the centre of the other two objects.

Share to Review: Attach files to comments, Zoom more than 100%
Attach file to comment. Typically the client add in quick sketches, reference images, new logo files and so on and it would be super helpful if they could attach those files to the comment in review mode to avoid having to still use e-mail or similar services to get quick assets between us and them.
Deeper zoom function: The pdf can only be zoomed in to 100% of the artboard setting, so some details can't be seen. Infinite zoom would be ideal.

New from Template... do not work any more
When choosing ”New from Template...” from ”File” -menu Illustrator 2024 do not open templates from ”Cool Extras” -folder as a default anymore.

Hi.
I have an issue trying Adobe Illustrator. I would like to try the stencil features to find out if it will meet my needs. The problem is i am forced to add my credit card details just for using the 7 day free trial. I am not prepared to do that at this time due to the fact that Adobe may not work out for me. Then im stuck dealing with automatic payments.
The other issue is the high monthly or yearly subscription costs. I would only use illustrator once in a while and cant justify the monthly cost.…1 vote -
Prevent Conversion of Outlined Text to Editable Text
The Retype convert to live type feature makes it too easy for clients, vendors, and 3rd parties to convert uneditable work into editable work. It's a nice tool for your own work, but it is potentially bad for business.
Please add permissions features that allow us to control whether or not our files (PDF/AI) can be manipulated in this way by others or reconsider rolling out the Retype conversion feature.
Please DO NOT roll out the Retype convert outline to live type feature unless this protection is added to illustrator.

Issue transferring dwg file to Temp folder
Is there any possibility in Ai, when we export or run the script on the Ai file and we get only dwg file without that png (bitmap image) so that we can add only dwg file in Temp folder and it will get convert into .svg file.

Xray mode in Adobe Illustrator
There should be an Xray mode in Adobe Illustrator similar to what we have in Blender 3D.
When toggled on from a keyboard shortcut, this should allow the user to temporarily view all the objects (Paths, including appearances) to be slightly transparent and allow the user to select objects that are behind each other or at the bottom of the stacking order.
The outline view is good but not enough. I still can't select paths behind each other and don't show appearances so can't actually see what I'm selecting if artwork has similar shapes stacking there.

Export multiple artboards with 'Save for web'
It would be very useful and a huge time-saver to have the option to export multiple artboards with 'Save for web'. Currently you can only do 1 artboard at a time, and if you have a lot of artboards to export then it gets old real fast and takes up valuable time.
Auto-populating the file name would be amazing too. When you do a regular export, it exports the files with what you named each artboard. But when you do 'Save for Web', you have to enter the file name each time.

[Script HELP] Import file to artboards and flatten transparency
Hi, I'm looking for a script that can IMPORT files (AI, PDF, EPS) by inserting these files, or multipage PDFs, onto multiple illustrator tables in a connected way.
Then let me select eg. from table 1 to 5 (of 200) and apply a preset registered in the CONVERT TRANSPARENCY panel.Can someone help me?

stroke width tool more defined errors with conflicting properties.
There are several things that do not allow the use of the "stroke width tool", like brushes, or having the stroke non aligned to the center... but right now the tool gives no hint about what is the issue, and why is not working.
What about giving you a more specific error, and showing the option to dissable this conflicting property. (if you cannot work around the stroke width in this circumstances.)1 vote
