  2. Dialog Box Behind App - Force Quit

    1. 21.1.0 (macOS sierra v10.12.6 (16G29))

    2. This is happening more and more, and usually when first opening the application. If some dialog box, typically a warning or something, pops up but for some reason then gets pushed behind or hidden by the main app window, there is no way to get back to it and no way for the app to function. Trying to click on ANY part of the app just gets the "no - beep", the sound that plays when you are trying to do something but something else has to happen first... like if a warning box pops…

  4. Clicking in Actions Window Crashes

    Often times when I click anywhere in the Actions window, Illustrator will crash and close abruptly. No edits made to Actions are saved since the previous open. Makes using Actions like walking through a mine field.

  5. Error 16 Reinstall Software? (AI 2017.1.0 - 21.1.0 - MacOS 10.12.6)

    On a MacBook Pro (Retina 15in Mid 2014) if I open up and use Mail and Safari first then open up Illustrator or Photoshop I often get Error 16 which insists I uninstall and reinstall the Illustrator program. However, if I shut down or restart my computer, the program opens up just fine without reinstalling it.

    Why do I get this error message?
    Is there anything I can do to stop getting it?
    Perhaps the message should just instruct people to restart their computer instead of doing a lengthy uninstall - reinstall?

  6. Illustrator Freezes + This Website Broken

    So I open an .ai in the latest version of Illustrator, everything works. I open another .ai file, everything freezes / stops working. I need to use Task Manager to close Illustrator. I reinstalled it, same issue.

    Regarding the website, when I click in Illustrator to submit a bug, it sends me to https://illustrator.uservoice.com/ where the 'Bug' button does not do anything. Are you for real, Adobe?!?!

  8. Swatch border line problem.

    AI 21.1.0 (64bit) Windows 10, macOS Sierra
    When I apply custom bitmap swatch at object, unexpected border line display (it occurrs even in default vector swatch).
    And export it to PDF, border line still exists.

  9. Demo version of Illustrator crashes constantly, destroying files.

    Illustrator CC 21.1.0 (trial), MacBook Pro13,3 (15" with touch bar), macOS Sierra 10.12.3. It seems to happen mostly when editing colors or character/paragraph styles, but honestly it's hard to say, because it's seemingly random. I'd be happy to attach a copy of the file I was working on, but every version is gone now, even ones that were saved between crashes with different file names. You should have several crash reports via Apple, I hope. I can also upload console logs if needed, but I didn't find a folder for Illustrator.

  10. Submenu don't work

    1. Illustrator CC 2017.1.0 (64bit)
      Windows 8.1 2013 microsoft
      Asus 64x

    2. Ctl + N or File> New Document

    3. creation of a new document

    4. does not work nothing happend

    And no drop down menu for the Tools are visible :
    - Direct selection (A)
    - Pen (P)
    -Text (T)
    - Stroke (Maj+ T)
    - Rectangle (M)
    - P
    - Maj + N
    - Maj + E
    -... all with a sub menu

    No tools are visible

  11. Panel type and icons are enormous

    I recently upgraded Illustrator. the panels are gigantic. The type is ridiculously huge . the panels are taking up more than half my screen and I need all of them available. How do I get the panels to display nice and tiny and compact like they did before? Am I supposed to buy another graphics card and get a third monitor just to hold adobe panels? Am I really supposed to buy new glasses just for Illustrator just because Adobe can't be bothered to make things a normal type size?

  12. Working file getting corrupted after installation of new graphics card

    Hi, I have installed a graphics card recently on my windows 10 PC and the file which was working fine before enabling GPU features in Adobe Illustrator CC suddenly got corrupted (Error message is attached). I have updated both, Adobe Illustrator CC (ver. 21.1.0) and Graphics card driver and my windows 10 installation is also up to date.

  14. Create New Button Does Nothing

    I'm using OS X El Capitan with a multi display setup, comprising of two monitors and a Wacom Cintiq. Sometimes with multiple desktops and multiple monitors popup windows will open in strange places and I have to find them-- however I've gotten rid of my extra desktops and tried to replicate the problem running a single monitor and it persists.

    Neither Premiere nor Photoshop have this issue.

    Illustrator opens up fine, but when I get to the prompt to open a recent project or create a new one, everything works except clicking "Create New" doesn't do anything. Of course I…

  16. grabbing tiny things

    BUG!!!!! not a new idea quit trying to shirk responsibility by calling flaws "new ideas!" It feels like im dealing with a con man or something

    you cannot grab menus and move them because you made no place to grab so you have to close it just to move !

    the 4 bezier curve tools use to be easy to to expand to a tear off then you made it a little harder because you had to grab the top of the bar, then you made it harder by putting the tiny little grabber bar an inch away and even…

  17. USB iPhone tether connection causes bugs in AI CC 2017 Layers panel

    When a USB connection is made to iPhone for internet tethering, Illustrator CC 2017 Layers panel:

    1. Won't allow toggling the lock or eye icons unless clicked several times each.

    2. Won't allow slide up and down the locks or eyes to lock/unlock or show/unshow everything.

    3. Won't allow naming a layer unless done from options.

    4. Won't allow dragging square of an object from one layer to another.

    All resolve upon disconnecting the USB iPhone internet tethering connection.

  18. Illustrator stops working and closes

    This is simple enough, and I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to, but this has been happening for years, every time I get started I do about an hour of work then its complains it has stopped working and closes! No save option, no autosave, no back up, nothing!

    A very simple way to fix this, have an autosave!

  19. Can't

    I get a an error message every time i log into AI. Then on top of it the program is not saving my workspaces. It drives me crazy to have to open Tools, Controls, Swatches, Layers, etc every time I start. Please help me out.

  20. Crash when vectorising any image

    Hello, I have an Adobe Cloud account and am using the latest version of illustrator CC. I cannot vectorize images any more. It crashes whatever setting I use.

    I tried to desactivate the GNU processor but to no avail. I tried on several images kind and format, but Illustrator won't accept any. They do open and the vectorization begins but it crashes before finishing. and no explanation is given just that a problem occured and that the application will close.

    This is very problematic as I need to vectorize images. Please help me, Adobe-Kenobi, you are my only hope !
