Can't select or hide layers, AI instantly changes it back
All was fine, until I discovered I can't change layers' visibility or lock them.
Restart won't help. Please see animation attached and document shown.I remember I had this bug before but it somehow went away.

With multiple projects open, can only view one tab
In new AI2019, if I have multiple tabs open, only the tab originally opened is usable unless I open the other tabs in a new window.

Window resizes in increments
After a doc is open and the window has been open to the largest size. clicking the bottom right corner to resize the doc window feels like it is snapping to the bottom or to increments of a set size. HOW do we turn this off to resize the document window to any free flowing size ?

Right Click does not work
This is not an idea, it is a bug complaint! My right click does not work on Illustrator on anything. I just downloaded the latest version of Adobe Illustrator Version 2017 21.1.0 in hopes to correct the "right clicking" issue that was in my older version (version prior to 21.1.0). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the same problem still persist. My right click does not work! This is slowing down my work and it's definitely not time efficient. Help me fix this now!
6 votesHi,

Grid View fails to render grid lines at various zoom levels.
I am experiencing a persistent problem with Gridlines not rendering correctly at larger zoom levels (for several weeks now).
Adobe Illustrator (25.3.1)/Preferences/Guides & Grid:
Gridline every: 72px
Divisions: 18
Grids In Back: Checked
Show Pixel Grid (Above 600% Zoom): CheckedAs you can see in the attached screen shot (800% Zoom) that is not a grid.

Files don’t get displayed when opened or displayed corrupted with Application Frame enabled
These are not 'ideas' they are bugs, errors, problems - stop with the Orwellian language, just makes you look insincere and untruthful.
The problem:
When Application Frame is selected, files either do not display when opened or have a corrupted display. Doesn't happen every time, but quite often.
Mac Pro macOS 10.12.6, Illustrator 22.14 votesHi,
We have made a fix in latest version for the same. Can you please upgrade to 23.0.3 and let us know if you still face this issue?
Thanks

New update (23.0.1) shows Home screen instead of my actual file until I press F
Most of the times, when I open an AI file I can't see my actual artboard until I press F (Toggle Screen Mode). Once I switch the screen mode it shows a weird red color in the artboard (too fast to capture).
3 votesHi,
Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. We have fixed similar issue in 23.0.3,

Character Panel Typing Font Names Manually Issue
When trying to type certain font names manually in the first field the placement of the letters jumps to the wrong spot.
When I type "Arial Bold", "Arial Regular", or "Cooper Black" the cursor or text placement seems to fail and not type the text in order from left to right. I saw one other post here with a similar issue but it could not be reproduced. This is the first time I have seen this so far on the new Illustrator CC 2020. After typing the "o" in "Arial Bold" the letters end up typing to the left of…

Layer Panel is blank & not representing any layer panel icons or titles
Layer Panel went blank randomly in a multi-layered project. Cannot view titles or any icons. Sometimes running the mouse over layer panel reveals the information that the mouse points at, however, only to disappear (title info, icons etc) if you click on layer.
Latest version of Illustrator CC 2018. Have rebooted system twice, one shutdown for several hours, one restart. Also researching online to find similar issues. Seems to be relatively new issue.
2 votesSorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Can you please check layer options dialog?
From panel flyout open Layer Options and see if the thumnails for “Layers” “Groups” and “Objects” are selected and “Top Layer Only” is Not selected. Also “Show Layers Only” check box should be deselected.
let me know if this solves your problem or not?
Thanks

Font name not suggested when typing in
When I want to change a typeface to another and I start typing in the name, instead of loading a list of installed fonts related to the characters being typed, nothing happens. No suggestions loaded at all.
2 votesHi Love,
sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Can you please click on the little rectangle in the font name (below search button) and see the option selected?
If it is “Search First Work Only”, change it to “Search Entire Font Name” and it will solve the issue.
Thanks

Scrollbar breaks using stylus (windows/wacom)
While I'm using a stylus, if I use the scrollbar, illustrator acts as if I haven't released from the scroll bar and continues to wildly scroll, and all other features including closing the program are inaccessible. This continues even if I tab out of the program and doesn't stop until I force quit illustrator.
1 voteHi ,
Thanks for reporting the issue, but we are unable to reproduce the issue at our end and would need more information such as the AI build with which the issue started, Wacom device configuration, and OS details of the machine where the issue is observed.

system : Windows 101 voteThis option is available only when OS and display’s resolution allow it.
As this help article mentions, 'The UI scaling isn't supported for Windows 7 and for screens with low resolution' (however, no actual specs are given).
So this should no be caused by the UI language.
Please share the specs of your display or comment back if it’s no longer a problem.

Document Setup - Artboard size not showing cursor
Pre update the artboard size fields (W: and H: fields) after clicking Document Setup button in top toolbar would show cursor position. After updating to 24.2 the cursor is no longer visible. The field will highlight but we are not able to see the cursor position.
Please allow for cursor to be visible inside these fields.
1 voteJason, is this still an issue in the latest versions of Illustrator? Can you share a short video of how it looks for you, if it is?

Selection is not visible in Illustrator 2020
I just installed the latest version of Illustrator and it's pretty horrible to use. I cannot see the direct selection points on any object. I have tried toggling show bounding box and it doesn't make any difference. When an object is selected it is not highlighted so it's impossible to tell whether it is selected or not.

Workspace window falls off the page
The newest update does not fix the issue I am having with the workspace window falling off the page when I try to drag the bottom right corner to better fit my art/desktop as needed. Does not respond to the position of my mouse, I have to over exaggerate where I want it while I click and drag my mouse.
1 voteKimberly, the image you attached to the report is not related to it, and shows a screenshot of the UV page instead.
So if you are still having this problem, please provide a proper screenshot or maybe a video even, if necessary. Either way, please comment back on this.

The position of the right-click menu doesn't match the 4K screen (200% scale)
Illustrator version: 22.1 (64-bit)
When right click in the document, the position where the menu appears is incorrect.
If the mouse cursor is closer to the top-left corner of the screen, the menu position is closer to the cursor.
If the mouse cursor is farther from the top-left corner of the screen, the offset between the cursor and the menu position and is greater. Please see my screen record for details: https://youtu.be/KY_9y_SuCCk
1 voteHi Digidea,
Can you please verify the same on the latest version of AI ie. 23.0 released on 15th Oct 2018?
