Layer Panel is blank & not representing any layer panel icons or titles
Layer Panel went blank randomly in a multi-layered project. Cannot view titles or any icons. Sometimes running the mouse over layer panel reveals the information that the mouse points at, however, only to disappear (title info, icons etc) if you click on layer.
Latest version of Illustrator CC 2018. Have rebooted system twice, one shutdown for several hours, one restart. Also researching online to find similar issues. Seems to be relatively new issue.
Sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Can you please check layer options dialog?
From panel flyout open Layer Options and see if the thumnails for “Layers” “Groups” and “Objects” are selected and “Top Layer Only” is Not selected.
Also “Show Layers Only” check box should be deselected.
let me know if this solves your problem or not?
Thanks

I launched illustrator from an eps file and layers were not showing so I figured it might work better if I launch Illustrator on its own first, then open the file. I quit out of everything, relaunched Illustrator, then opened the file. After that, I had to click another tab in the same panel as layers then click back into the layers tab before it showed up again.

I had layers disappear on part of a document I am drawing two faces on. I can get the outline of the disappearing face if I drag the select arrow, but the colour for the fill and stroke have disappeared. As soon as I click on the document even the outline disappears. What happened to my layers ? It happened after I started drawing another face on another part of the document.

Having issues with layers panel as well.
The Layers panel is not displaying the Channel tab.
I've tried resetting work space, Closing/reopening layers panel, computer restart and disabling GPU but to no avail.

Ive had adobe support screen share twice and they are no help they just unistall and reinstall . Nothing is fixing this bug . I did notice that the 2015 version worked with no issues. About to go back .

Update (within 20 minutes of posting this):
Started a new project to see if layers panel would corporate. It did. Didn't close out my old one as I did this. Checked back into old project, and pleasant surprise, the layers panel on the old project running again as usual.
Very bizarre. Seems buggish for sure.
