Initial View : File Organization Sucks.
I want to have folders to tidy up my documents. I created the folders but I have to laboriously go through each document, press down on it, careful not to open it, then drag drag drag it up to the appropriate folder and drop it in. I did this a bunch of times only to find it had somehow moved everything into a nested folder I had, further messing up my document organization structure, yay.
Suggestions: provide basic file organization tools like in any app: a Select tool where I can choose a random selection of thumbnails via checkboxes, and…

Print-ready pdf export with bleeds
Please add the ability to export print-ready PDFs with trim marks and bleeds in Illustrator for iPad. That would be perfect for my workflow!

Colour Picker Gesture like in Procreate
Please make a Colour Picker Finger Gesture like in Procreate! At the moment its way too hard and fiddly to pick colours from the artboard.
- Press and hold down with your finger where you want to pull the color from.
- You'll see a circle take on your color.
- Wait for the color to appear in the color selection tool in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You now have access to the selected color.

Save Colour Swatches Permanently
Every time I open a new document my colour swatches that I had saved previously are gone.
Let us keep and have a way to save and organise our colour palettes (like procreate) please. Thank you!29 votes -
Find locked layers
When I select a layer on the artwork it says locked. I would like to see an indicator in the layers panel of where the object is located, so I can unlock it. It is very hard to find white locked objects.

Erase up to intersection (Paths)
Illustrator on Ipad and the normal one really needs a tool to erase to intersection, like for example Clip studio has. It has a few workarounds, but this should just be a feature, not something to work around.
Erase up to intersection should be a simple tool/or a feature you can activate on the normal eraser, so you can just touch the lines you want to cut and they will be erased up to the closest path it connects too.

Change or leave dpi/ppi the same as document.
Created the document with 300 dpi but exports as 72dpi. This doesn’t even make since. At minimum, you should be able to select your ppi/dpi when you export your file. You would think it would export the same as your original document

Add panning and zooming with keyboard and mouse
I’m trying to use illustrator for ipad with a keyboard and mouse but only being able to pan and zoom with my hands really is disruptive to my workflow (coming from a desktop user). It definitely requires a big habit change on my part to lift my hand up to the screen everytime I want to move the canvas around, but I would LOVE to have the pan and zoom by holding spacebar and moving around as well as cmd + scrolling respectively. This is the only thing making me not want to switch to using illustrator for ipad full…

Gradual transparency feature for AI for IPad
It would be great to have the option to gradually fade and object or an image from zero transparency into full opacity. Similar to a gradient color fill. Right now one can use the transparency tool to affect the entire image or object.
