    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

    What's the point in having swatches if their values are automatically changed when the document's color mode is changed? For example, if you have a yellow built out as 0/12/100/0 as a global CMYK swatch, then you change your document to RGB, then back to CMYK, the color values within the swatch change to 1.62/11.07/100. The same thing happens when I have a RGB swatch in an RGB file, convert to CMYK, then convert back.

    And to make matters worse, If you have an .ase palette open and you try to fix the object's color, it will give you a conflict because of the original swatch NAME and NOT its value. If you choose to "Merge swatches", it does NOT even fix the color values in the swatch in the document.

    Hi Everyone,

    All the effect checkboxes have now been set to ON by default, and are sticky (meaning that if you disable preview, on next launch of Illustrator preview will remain disabled). This functionality now is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

    And it’s done finally, in the latest Beta 28.1.0.100 build.

    All NEW documents will now have Hyphenate disabled by default.

    To use this feature please delete all files in a specific folder and relaunch Illustrator. This effort is required only for first time, for Illustrator to fetch updated copies of default document profiles.

    • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings/<language>/New Document Profiles
    • Win: C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings\<language>\x64\New Document Profiles

    However, Illustrator won’t make changes to custom presets you have in EXISTING documents though.

    To make this option to get turned off for them as well, you’d have to update a [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel on your own. To do that:

    1. create a new text object, keep it selected,

    2. press [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel,

    3. open Paragraph panel, disable Hyphenate,

    4. open Paragraph Styles panel again, and execute Redefine Paragraph Style command…

    You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.
