   This got solved by eliminating the Bulb button altogether. Instead we now have the Discover panel now, which can be called with Help > Illustrator Help / Tutorials / What’s New(they all lead to different sections of the same panel).

   Yes, this is something naked Ai can’t do.
   But this is something AG Offset plugin can make possible, a paid plugin from Astute Graphics. Perhaps it can solve this for you.

   Not possible technically. The team is not going to make changes in the classic algorithms, and the math behind inflation method is quite complex to be supported by the old tech. Most probably will be rejected — sorry!
