If not — please provide the file you are trying to export from and describe the exact method (there are 5) you are using.
Hard to fix anything without symptoms. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, not that much can be guessed without looking into your network configuration — by your administrator or a member of Adobe staff. I suggest you ask yours to try first, if you have one.
If not — try to reinstall drivers first and then, if the issue persists, write to sharewithai@adobe.com (or any other support channel) and ask for a session to look into your machine, to figure out what is happening.An error occurred while saving the comment Seems a a network issue, some sort of an access restrictions.
Please go extra details with it.
Do you try the same or different files?
From the same or different machines?
What are the permissions that are set for that engraver for your network?
Your system/network administrator can check the latter one and probably fix the issue. -

As per the comment, go to 'Preferences > User Interface > Share Button' and select 'Match Brightness' — it will no longer appear blue.
To achieve the same in Photoshop, try toggling 'Neutral Color Mode' in 'Preferences > Interface'.
If you still wish to just have it gone for good — please upvote this separate request.

The artwork has a small black dot on the right side, far away from the artboard. Watch closely at the right side of your 11×17.jpg image to notice it.
And export options were probably without ‘Use artboards’ tick.P.S. Please always provide the file you have problems with!

But I doubt that is the issue after two years, right?An error occurred while saving the comment Will, I see a strange tiny piece of something at '11x17.jpg', at the right edge of the image.
Could it be what causes the bug?
Also, you can force AI to clip your image to the artboard by checking 'Use artboards' in Export dialogue window. -

Because selection can not work with text in many ways — a range of text, a text as a whole object, with all objects at all...
To investigate something the team must have clues.
Also: try to select other objects and check if View > Show Edges is checked
