"Can't print the illustration. File I/O error has occured while it's printing"
Good morning, I am having issues with students printing to our laser engraver from illustrator. They receive the following error, "Can't print the illustration. File I/O error has occurred while it's printing". The teacher can print without issue with his login, but not the students with theirs. Not sure what is going on here. Any ideas? Thanks,

Well, not that much can be guessed without looking into your network configuration — by your administrator or a member of Adobe staff. I suggest you ask yours to try first, if you have one.
If not — try to reinstall drivers first and then, if the issue persists, write to sharewithai@adobe.com (or any other support channel) and ask for a session to look into your machine, to figure out what is happening. -

Egor, the engraver is directly connected to the desktop unit sitting right next to it. The teacher can print with his credentials, but the students cannot. So I'm thinking it's a permission issue.
It does not matter the file and it is the same machine always.
The engraver is not on the network.
I created a local account directly on the machine and it is having the same error. I was thinking the local account would eliminate any "network" restrictions since it's connected via USB.
Thoughts?

Seems a a network issue, some sort of an access restrictions.
Please go extra details with it.
Do you try the same or different files?
From the same or different machines?
What are the permissions that are set for that engraver for your network?
Your system/network administrator can check the latter one and probably fix the issue.
