An error occurred while saving the comment This would make impossible to have several versions installed. And trust me, with Illustrator this is crucial, because freshly released versions are often critically unusable.

An error occurred while saving the comment Does it happen for you in Photoshop also? It does for me.
I thought it is my problem solely, happy to hear it’s no mine only. Sad to hear it exists. -

An error occurred while saving the comment In the latest releases this is somewhat back. You can now use Shift and Ctrl with a click in target circles to select ranges and add/remove from the selection. No dragging though, but it’s still is much better then it used to be recently.

An error occurred while saving the comment So you don’t know what settings were used on save? :(
An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting. I was finally able to try to 'open' it.
Ai says on importing that the file was modified after being saved... If changes are ignored, it opens inner Ai-layer and no overprint on I-s are present. But if you choose to accept changes and ignore Ai-data anthus directly importing PDF-layer —yellow I-s have overprint indeed!
Can you tell more about the process you use to export a PDF from Ai? What settings, presets? I wonder why Ai believes some external changes were made, when you claim to export these directly... Need more info. Sorry it took me so long to respond though. An error occurred while saving the comment This is odd...
Are you it's about the overprint though?
Because letters I can be interpreted by Acrobat as ortho lines and it has some special options for dealing with these, making them fatter or thinner in display.
Do they stay invisible when you print?
Can you share the PDF file for others to investigate? -

An error occurred while saving the comment @Traci Ah, OK, it can be. I just hate this Modern New and never use it, just because of these things. Voted.
An error occurred while saving the comment You mean drag to select without setting a focus there first?
Hm, it works for me in 2021 in Windows.
Can you record it? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Just checked and this is exactly it works, actually. When you select a text object, its parameters are store in the Character panel and are used when you create a new text...
Also, you can set the one you like (including size) and save it as a template or even a document profile, so next time when you create a new document, it would already have font you set (and swatches, and brushes, and so on).
Does it work differently for you? -

An error occurred while saving the comment LC, there is eCut plugin for Ai, that does it, and CorelDraw’s package is even more powerful.
The problem with nesting is that it’s quite complex problem...
eCut solves it fine, but not perfect. Voted. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Andros, does it help if you hold Ctrl when moving? It then snaps exactly the point grabbed to the point hovered on. Please, try it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Joshua, as a workaround try to apply Transform effect to the group. If it won’t help, try applying the Outline Stroke or the Outline Object effect to the group before Transform.

An error occurred while saving the comment Turbold, you can create big canvas documents now it recent versions of Illustrator. You can’t convert existing ones (I hope for now — and there is a separate request for it), but you definitely can make it on document creation. You loose one decimal space of precision though, but 'who needs fractions of a point when you design huge things?'
Gareth, this is a known bug. The isometric presets keep angles’ values rounded and therefore the art is only roughly projected. To fix this, you will have to enter the real isometric angle.
Read this please:

And yes, it is the bug obviously. Voted.
