Distribute spacing units work wrong
Hello,
Illustrator 23.0.2. I use "cm" units in whole software, but Distribute Spacing right now working only in points...
I think your software is falling down year by year.
I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.1.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

I've had this problem since 2019 on both PC and Mac. It drives me nuts. It seems to always be fine in the Properties panel, but that typically requires more clicks. Seems to fix itself if you create a new document with the align panel open. Definitely glitchy behavior.

coming up on two years.. are they ever going to fix this? for stroke and type size and practically everything else you can type whatever units you want and it converts to document units, why is that not possible here?

The distribute spacing value still gets stuck in points. September 24, 2020. This bug was also documented at https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/align-to-objects-unit-change/m-p/11053672?page=1.

As of April 21, 2020 this bug still persists over a year after the original report. Seems like it would be a simple fix...

Never happened to me. It's a bug, not a feature request though. Can you repost this in Bugs section?

Not true, in cc 2017 there is millimeter same as the document setting. So i am stuck with 2017 until they fix the bug

In my experience of this bug, distribute spacing always uses points as the units, no matter what the default document unit is. It also will not allow me to type in a unit, for example by typing in "1 in". Instead, the spacing has to be converted to points. so in the case of 1 inch, it would be 72.

Distribute spacing in align tab uses wrong units.
The document and settings uses metric millimeter but distribute spacing uses something else.
If i type in 6mm it instead give me 1 or 2mm spacing.
