It is you who knows both tools, it is you who knows why Illustrator path control is uncomfortable to you, so it is up to you to explain your request. Because otherwise the answer could be honest 'Use Corel Draw then'.
What do you think is better in Control tool (you mean Shape tool?)
What do you think is missing from Ai’s Pen and Direct Selection?

Wacom tablet, right? A common issue with the driver, I presume. Try to reinstall it and restart everything you can. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Riner, it is a GPU rendering issue. GPU renders fast, but can cause artifacts in some cases. It depends from one’s machine’s specs. I checked your file and it renders fine for me.
Try View > Preview on CPU.

I can test the file on 25.2.1 Windows for you to see if it happens. So far I tried to replicate the scenario and it worked fine for me, both Alt+dragging and Copy via Move dialogue. -

Menu commands are gone for sure, there is no way to customize it, that's no Corel Draw.
Tools and panels you can call back by switching to Essentials Classic (instead of 'newbies-friendly' Essentials).
Page setup had been assimilated into Artboards and options for the dedicated tool — Shift+O, Enter.
Don’t loose hope! Ai changed a lot, gained weight and wrinkles and kept all deceases (and got new), but it can be tolerable. -

I suppose you use Windows 10, right? This file you shared is shown as black on white thumbnail in Explorer for me. It’s black on white if I use Photos to view it, it’s black on checkerboard if I use Photoshop, it’s black on gray if I use XnView.
We have no idea what you lady uses to view this file, and it’s no guarantee that the app she choses won’t have a black background as default, or even able to render alpha channel.
And sure Illustrator team can’t predict that.
Sadly, the fact it get displayed black for you is something related to your OS and definitely not Illustrator. Try to clear your thumbnail cache, it might help.An error occurred while saving the comment The example immage-01.png attached is just fine and has transparency in it.
Try to open it in Photoshop to be sure.

This require some testing I think. Please contact sharewithai@adobe.com and share your OS an Ai details, your system language, your profile name/permissions and paths used on installation.
I hope they'll be able to figure it out. -

As a workaround try to disable GPU mode, at least for mode tracés.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yup, this is obscuring.
See, Ai always adds the artboard number when you export an image.
Even if you have only one artboard. It will use the name of an artboard if it was renamed.
And numbering/naming is done automatically AFTER a base filename is chosen.
So if you had files exported previously (with -01 and so on in their names), they would have been overwritten is you have said Yes. But since the exported file is missing — it creates a new base one with the added artboard’s number.
Does it make it any clearer?
I assume that someone erased the '-01' from the original file’s name... Because Ai doesn’t produce these with Export command :) -

An error occurred while saving the comment Use White Spot color instead. Printshops have tools to parse it, separating all 5 colors just perfectly.
Because you just have no idea what your CMYKW as a mode will break :/
Also, have you seen and tried InkScribe plugin by AstuteGraphics? Does it feel like a better tool to you?
