An error occurred while saving the comment Ah, you mean the brackets stay large and don’t get scaled depending on the zoom level (and font size too)?
An error occurred while saving the comment I guess you mean the brackets, and the fact the top line is not vertical, while the end ones have a gap between them, correct?

An error occurred while saving the comment Are you referring to Illustrator Beta for Desktop? which version specifically?
Do you get a crash reporter dialog?
When exactly does it crash?
Do you have prime Illustrator build crashing as well? -

For me the View Box always shrinks after deleting or adding artboards to fit artboards — with or without View Artboard Content Only enabled in the Navigator’s panel flyout menu. Please provide a test file and a list of specific step you make to make this happen at your side. If you also record this on video — even better! Thank you.

An error occurred while saving the comment Brian, it UserVoice blocks uploading SVG files (they say 'for security reasons'), so please try to rename these into TXT and try again.
If it won’t help — please send all the set of files to sharewithai@adobe.com, and the team will review it. -

It is confirmed the issue is indeed fixed in the Beta 28.7.0.65 and soon will be pushed into main build.

An error occurred while saving the comment Juddson, this would require the actual file to investigate.
Please send it to sharewithai@adobe.com, and put the link to this report in the body of the email — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/48821297If you can, please also add some details on the printer used.
Also — does it stay consistent with the original if you export a PDF first and then try to print from it? -

Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Dina, there is a separate request for this:
Match arrow keys and aligning to view rotation
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/44001624I added you as a voter there based on your comment.
There is a third-party plugin solution mentioned there in comments as well.An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, Andrew, this is exactly what I am seeing.
It’s just you explained what the problem is, while @Mattnymous just went with 'not very well', which can mean anything, including anything else we both fail to see, blinded by this obvious problem. That’s why I asked them specifically to elaborate. The one you point out is surely a problem, and the developers are aware. Thank you though! An error occurred while saving the comment Mattnymous, could you define 'not really well'? No sarcasm intended (I have several claims of my own), just to understand what bothers you. Let’s compare impressions.
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Rotate Canvas is coming soon, hopefully with presets that will allow you to turn a view at 90°
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Please merge
An error occurred while saving the comment Still, having numerical control over artboard rotation would be nice.

An error occurred while saving the comment Can’t replicate this.
Masks for me get correctly copied when I duplicate artboards.
The only case when a mask contents stays at the old/original artboard is when it’s unlinked in the Transparency panel.
Øivind, can you please recheck this? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Not sure if this behavior should be made in an option though... if people prefer PNG, this should stay then if they choose PNG once... I wonder if there can be any benefit in defaulting it I can’t imagine?

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, Thomas, the team confirms the export format stays sticky in one session across document open but doesn’t stay sticky across different app sessions.
Even though this is a known problem, I promoted your comment into a new request, to let other people here discover it and upvote: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48819335

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
PDF is now available as type in File > Export > Export As dialog.
However, File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, similar to one InDesign has, to allow even quicker export, is absent still.
If you want to have it, please upvote this new request here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48670088
An error occurred while saving the comment @Xingdong - Esri, none I am aware of, sadly. I pitched it here and there, but no reply so far.
So I promoted my comment into a new request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48818972
I already added you as a voter, based on your comment. Let’s see how many people here support the idea of having 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' always disabled for Export as PDF, but always enabled for Save As (but customizable for Save a Copy, I suppose). An error occurred while saving the comment Xingdong, you are correct, it’s the same exact thing as Save a Copy :(
I expected it to be more than this. One part was split into a separate request, but besides the speed and presets, I was hoping to have the 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' disabled, since the data is not 'saved', but 'exported'... the team decided to have the same exact presets given. For many it was confusing to NOT see a PDF type in Export As dialog.
But the main request was not about having it there, but about a tedious multi-step routine.
I swear, sometimes it feels like the team reads only captions, but not the rest, and not the comments. An error occurred while saving the comment Thomas, I assigned Ctrl + E to Export As.
This will open the dialog for me, but not choose the file type obviously.
That’s why a new request has been filed, to have a dedicated Adobe PDF Presets menu — this would allow us to assign hotkeys directly to items there and just input a name and location.Ps also has Quick Export as PNG command... it’s even more faster, but in fact it’s rather slow :)
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment It also should be renamed to 'Export to PDF', not save, since it gives false illusion that AI is PDF editor (which Adobe wants it not to be for good reasons).
An error occurred while saving the comment 'Saving' is not 'exporting', you surely understand that (as 'Open' is not 'Import' too).
AI don't export PDF, it saves it.
As far I can see without going into tech, there's two 'layers' inside such PDF, with native art you edit in AI and real PDF data, which is synced with native one.I don't know how much people save and work in PDF-format (I rarely do), but I can't just take away this possibility and force them to export every time and import every time instead of open-save.
What you can really hope for, is a tick 'Don't save hidden content' in 'Save as' options

An error occurred while saving the comment Another custom free script for this got published here:
https://github.com/inaniwaudon/illustrator-textAn error occurred while saving the comment There is a custom script solution published at https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/auto-change-text-size-to-size-of-text-box/td-p/12518793
It takes each text line of a live area type object and makes it fit the width of the frame. It’s *almost* like Express does, but somewhat different. Anyway, this is a suitable and effective workaround. An error occurred while saving the comment Except for 'Capitalize' should be an option.

An error occurred while saving the comment Benjamin, do other Paste commands work when it happens? Ctrl+V? Ctrl+B? Ctrl+Shift+V?
Do these commands appear as active when you check Edit menu, or are they disabled? When it pastes back instead of front — what Draw mode you have selected under fill/stroke selector in the tool panel, Draw Normal or Draw Behind? It should not influence it, asking just in case?

An error occurred while saving the comment I remember Photoshop announcing this at MAX... all the audience cheered.
And then the update hit the desktops, smacked people who had work to do and skipped MAX, skipped release notes, just updated.
Photoshop then enabled it by default and forgot to give an option to toggle it. It was hellish.
Later a hack with a flag in separated config patch file was discovered and some torturing time after it got a proper toggle in Preferences...
...but instead of giving it a proper name and clear hint text, they called it Legacy Transform and never explained what it does. Rude, stupid, cruel.I’m not against having this option in Ai — and I vote. But 1) it should be an option, 2) forever sticky, 3) clearly explained.
I don’t want it to be enabled by default, because I already have to make 49 steps each time I reinstall Ai (I mean it).An error occurred while saving the comment This should be done as an option and not as the default unchangeable behavior, like Photoshop did at first (this was a nightmare).

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark, I can’t reproduce this.
Please help me with it — share a video where you try to create a line with Line tool and this happens; make sure you have fill/stroke selector is visible in the frame, show both Appearance and Graphic Styles panels opened, and show the options for the Line tool also. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting... The order of the hidden object stays correct... but for the duplicate artboard’s objects. So Ai in fact tries to move/copy the objects of the original artboard to the new position and then actually creates duplicates for the original artboard!
What a cheap trick :/Confirmed, upvoted. Good find!

Hmm, never heard of this before!
Where do you try to change these? In the dedicated Stroke panel, or Properties, or through Appearance panel’s attribute’s dropdown, or perhaps Control top panel? Is there a difference?
Can you still apply a stroke with Eyedropper, or using a graphics style?
Can you please record it next time it happens?
