Fernando, it seems like UV is dropping the attachment for some odd reason :/
Does your video match the one shared in another report you commented on (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/49722308), or is there any noticeable difference? If there is one, please try to host the video elsewhere and share a link instead of trying to attach it here.

Not sure I can reproduce this in 30.2.1 on Windows, in a new document... perhaps it happens only in specific conditions. Can you replicate it in a new file, with any artwork, or does it happen within a specific one? Can you share a test document here, along with a video that shows your workspace and steps taken, please? You can either share them here, along with the full specs of your computer, or send it all to sharewithai@adobe.com (in this case kindly mention the link to this report for faster tracking — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/51109663).

I have to ask — does the current Beta behave any better?
What is your GPU? (I can’t see you mentioning this anywhere, and it’s important)

I see... Please do try to record, yes.
When it happens, try to pick the Artboard tool and check how many artboards are selected in this mode.
Another question — how did you get these artboards in the first place? what was the method to create them?

http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32146360

This is bad... Do these duplicates happen to appear on the same artboard, just below or above the selected art, or on other artboards?
My guess is that it can be caused by the recent Paste on selected Artboards improvement: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32146360
Can you please share a small video showing the behavior? Also, can you please try to narrow this behavior down to a test file with specific steps one should take to recreate this?

As reported, the active artboard highlight does not stay rendered when panned/zoomed, nor do guides (at least in Beta on Mac).
I personally miss edges when I pan, but that’s my own quirk.

Stephen, some changes for the better were made and you can test it in the Beta, but not fully, hence the status is not updated.

    Agree on all of these.
Why it matters to me specifically.
    1. Boundaries for me are the part of composition. When we pan to shift our viewport, we orient on these boundaries, to pick a proper portion of the artwork. Without boundaries visible, we can’t properly orient. It’s like when you try to sit on a sofa, but in an instant you stop seeing its edges... or a cat sitting on it. No-one wishes to sit on a cat.
    2. Grids or guides. We choose to display or hide these on our own. When Ai decides this on its own, we feel less in control. When somethings blinks on its own — it’s probably broken, like a faulty lamp. People don’t like using broken tools.
    3. We don’t treat 'panning' and 'zooming' as states. We just navigate the canvas, observing the document. When we see popping, it ruins the illusion of integrity. The same problem as with popping in videogames.
    4. It worked before, but now it doesn’t. It’s easier to notice a flaw (instantly visible) than a benefit this recent pan/zoom improvement (which caused this trade-off) brings — that’s how people work evolutionary. Pretending it does not work like this is like spitting against the wind :)

Cameron, this is a known limitation, caused by a recently added method of boosting the speed of zooming and panning while in GPU Preview mode. Artboards edges, along with grids and guides, are considered as 'annotations' by the engine, and have to be temporarily disabled while contents of the document gets streamed while panning and zooming.

This is important for me, and I hope it is for others. It should definitely upvoted more to persuade the team to improve it further. The team is aware, but more votes always count.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Yep, sure do.
And yeah, sometimes a simple restart irons these out... it’d be still nice to catch the tail of the bug. If it happens again, at least record it, please.

Amy, are you able to reproduce this in every file you try, or does it happen only with a specific project only?
Can you please show a video recording of this behavior, so it’s clear what you do exactly (there are so many ways to change a color of an object in Ai). Also please share the full specs of your current setup. The more data — the more chances the team would be able to recreate this. So far I’m not able to get it happen.

Oh, indeed, this is a mess!
Ai should use a subset of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_216 format for some A, B, C sizes.
According to it e.g. B4 should be 250×353 mm... but Ai uses 257×364 mm, B4 JIS.
Would you like to have both ISO and JIS?

If you have a problem with something invisible being selected, but it’s not about Repeats — perhaps it’s a different problem, reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/38323183 — it needs test files.

Love it. Photoshop has a Color option at the bottom of the context menu for a layer, Ai should do the same.

So you propose to never recalculate any value in any field that uses document units, set in Preferences > Units, for each field Ai has? To allow a typed unit to stick, to stay within a filed, to allow combining inches, pixels, picas, meters, all within one document, for each object it has, respecting every user’s choice? Or do you mean to allow this for only some fields, based on some hidden criteria?
