An error occurred while saving the comment Pablo, est-ce que ça ressemble à ce rapport de bug ? Il me semble que c'est exactement le même problème. Peux-tu le confirmer ?
Strokes inside symbols don't show correctly when exported as a png
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50875568An error occurred while saving the comment Adobe decided to update the forums... again... the link is dead (as usual), and the post is nowhere to be seen. Nothing in the web archive as well...

An error occurred while saving the comment Huh.
There was a similar problem with Export As, now fixed, https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/49420505 ...
Odd to have this one slipped into cracks... -

An error occurred while saving the comment It’s not something new for Ai 2026 :)
It’s that Ai never allowed to Reset Bounding Box for 'live shapes' — unexpanded rectangles, ellipses, stars, polygons...
And since what you have selected in the screenshot is a live shape, the option is disabled.
You have two ways of dealing with it at the moment:
1. Use Pathfinder > Unite, to 'flatten' your rhombus into a path — it resets the bounding shape instantly
2. Use Object > Shape > Expand Shape, and then use Object > Transform > Reset Bounding Box
In both cases the path becomes just path and looses shape-specific controls.
If you then use Object > Shape > Convert to Shape, you’d get them back — and the bounding box would adapt again to hug the shape, as you have it now. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Felipe, can you show what’s the problem? A video, a GIF, a test file, a description, please?
What are you trying to do, how does it behave?
The team wont’ be able to review anything if there’s no data. -

An error occurred while saving the comment In CorelDRAW users are forced to select in order to set a key, if one chooses to use another object, it would require them to deselect and reselect it — two clicks, with Shift held. I think a single click is easier... but sure, if one needs to always to align to an object, these click accumulate.
As noticed below, Ai automatically thinks the topmost object is a *potential* key one; so if anyone select several objects and then presses the Align to Key Object in the Align panel, the topmost object would be highlighted with a thick edge, regardless of the order of selection.
But Ai won’t try to force this mode on a user when a selection is made. It tries to guess between 'Align to Artboard' (like when only one object is selected) and switch it to 'Align to Selection' (when more than one are selected), but not the key mode.
Actually, a while ago the team accidentally made the this mode the default one — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/40681714
It was a HUGE problem, with 200 reports in week one. It was not bad as it is, the problem was it was forced on us with no way to disable it. Plus Ai has to mark the key object, and the thick edge was distracting for many.So today this extra click to enable the Key mode is not extra, it’s the one that don’t let workflows mix and ignite and explode.
Good news is that Ai recently added dedicated hotkey slots for these modes we can assign in Keyboard Shortcuts, Menu Commands > Align.
Perhaps later a dedicated mode to allow CorelDRAW-natives some more familiarity (we got the Full Center, yay) can happen too.@Kürşad, what would you do though with the key edge with this mode enabled? As I said, Ai has to highlight the key (because the method to define the key with a click won’t go away even with the mode enabled). Wouldn’t if be too distracting?
An error occurred while saving the comment Jerry, Ai has a method to align to a key object, defined with a click into one of the selected objects. Its edge becomes thick, and Ai than aligns every other object in the selection to this one.
Does it work for you?An error occurred while saving the comment Indeed, the topmost object is used by default when you change the option to Align to Key Object in Align panel... But why don't you just click the object you want to use as a key, instead of clicking the button? or is it because the bottommost object is buried underneath other objects and you can’t see it?

This was fixed in the Beta 30.8.0.7 and the team intends to push it into the next general July release.
Meanwhile, please use the dedicated Transform panel or the Properties panel as a workaround.
If you find anything else — please report and upvote, it really helps.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ashley, curious to dig into it.
The left part of the Control panel is not shown in the video you shared — does it say 'Rectangle' or 'Path'?
Does it happen with any other object in this document? in any new document?
If this is the only objects that misbehaves, can you paste this border into a doc and share it here, please?...and just in case, can you check if Caps Lock is on?

An error occurred while saving the comment Even though you can use Glow effect to fake a stoke, it’s not the intended way of making one. No-no-no.
In InDesign, all placed images live inside containers, auto-made clip masks that hug images inside tightly, until changed. So each image already has a vector path attached that InDesign can stroke.
In Illustrator images live naked. They have bounds, but no vector path initially.
And we can generate one. Assign a stroke to an image (yes, using Appearance). Apply Effect > Path > Outline Object effect to this stroke. Very lightweight, simple stack, can be saved into Graphic Styles. Sure, not as easy as 'click', but fair, when you know how appearance work and what it can do.
I upvote this anyway. Thanks! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, it just doesn’t work when the tree is filtered.
Microsoft does a bad job with recording mouse clicks, Adobe didn’t support filtering properly.
Alternatives exist, and it’s good we have them. Thanks again for the report and being vocal. An error occurred while saving the comment Not seeing you trying to reposition highlighted items in the end of this video, after 0:37... I see you highlighting them and tried to right-click (and it does nothing in Ai — here’s a request, https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31956982). What I do is click with left and drag these into a layer / group / position I need. So it’s about reordering.
Instead of utilizing right-click, Ai often relies on panels’ menus. We can thank one-button Mac mouse for that, I think... however, Ps does the same but also allows right-click, and Ai lags.
BTW, if you need right-click to work there, you might also want to upvote these:
1. "Move to Layer" in right-click menu — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/42913461
2. Right click to select layer — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/34613410
3. and the rather general Right Click In General (notably context menus) — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/46925695
There are many more of them, and some of them need to be merged definitely.Speaking of this Layers list — it was pretty functional, it’s just Ai team doesn’t update it much.
We got filtering (that breaks range selection, as you know), we got better UI for saved selections (which aren’t linking, as was requested too — won’t share another link, I think I pile too much of these), but not many other things we desperately need.
The only way I see is to upvote, request, report... or not use the software at all, sadly. I prefer fighting, but I can’t force you do the same.
So — thank you for your time anyway! Every vote counts. An error occurred while saving the comment I mean something like this. Select (highlight) some objects in the panel, reposition them
I totally agree it’s rather limited, but you don’t have to select something on canvas to reposition it in the object tree. I’d love an option to 'select on canvas when selecting in the panel' and/or a way to convert a panel selection into a canvas selection (and vice versa) — requested here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32505679 — but completely removing something is a very bad practice. Improve, make an option — good one.An error occurred while saving the comment The 'layer highlighting', that 'is useless'.
Nope, it’s not, at least not entirely. It allows you to reorganize your structure without actually selecting stuff on canvas. It’s super important for large docs. However, while it was very normal back then, today it’s super unpopular, and there is a separate request to allow to have it synced, Select items in Layers in sync with objects on canvas — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/45338959
It mentions several more related requests, please study them as well.An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, it’s all the same problems reported separately here:
— Shift-clicking in Layers doesn't select range if filter is used: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/51241408
— Allow to select objects as a range in Layers (Shift, Cmd/Ctrl) with proper square markers, not only with Target Appearance ones: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/51241837
You upvoted both of them already.
Perhaps you might also be interested in this request as well:
Select objects in Layers panel by dragging through items (or target or selection markers) with a modifier held — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31666297An error occurred while saving the comment Oscar, I’ve seen all the comments in all the entries here.
Can you please share more details on how it fails ('selecting' these with the target markers)?
I suppose you don’t have any filter applied in Layers although... Can you share a test file and a video recording of you trying to select objects? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Doesn’t happens for me in 30.5.1 on Windows 10, pasting an RGB screenshot.
Both simple and global swatches retain their values.
My Color Settings are set to use Europe General Purpose 3. Check other parameters in the screenshot attached.
What settings do you use?
Please tell more.
Melissa, I wonder if you are having this thing today?
You never shared the original SVG file that had this clipping problem, so if you do ahve it and it’s still an issue — please share.
