An error occurred while saving the comment Do you have a tablet connected, Rolando?
If yes — do you have Enable Wacom option checked in Preferences?
If yes — does disabling it (and restarting Ai) fix the problem? An error occurred while saving the comment Looks like just text is selected... this is odd!
Does it happen for any text, in any file, typed with any font?
Please provide as much info as possible, Rolando.
Thanks! -

It happens when one accidentally disables Bounding Box with Cmd+Shift+B hotkey. You can try to toggle it back with the same shortcut or via View > Show Bounding Box.
An error occurred while saving the comment Maria, are you sure you haven’t accidentally disabled Bounding Box with Cmd+Shift+B hotkey? You can try to toggle it back with the same shortcut or via View > Show Bounding Box.
Please comment back if this helps (and certainly if it doesn’t). -
Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation.

An error occurred while saving the comment Nataliia, you should explain exactly how.
Record some videos, write some descriptions, take screenshots, elaborate.
What is happening exactly? -

An error occurred while saving the comment This is odd!
I remember an old bug with random objects being randomly added into the selection, but it was long ago and felt different.
JQ, can you please share the file? Just these objects (but please make sure it'’ still reproducible when everything else gets removed). When I try to make it happen from scratch — it doesn’t happen for me.
Can you also say what are your snapping options are, just in case?An error occurred while saving the comment JQ, can you show how it is broken exactly, on a video?

An error occurred while saving the comment If you open Window > Separations Preview and checks what Ai does when mixing a spot color with CMYK, you’ll see it does it all right: fading the spot at the same rate as the process colors get denser. This is how it’d print. If you want something to be multiplied (or rather overprinted, if we mean print media), you’d need to make this choice intentionally. Not ALL the gradients with Spot to Process will look good if this option just gets added into the panel... blend CMYK 0-0-100-0 into Reflex Blue using both methods and compare. Plus, it’s important to remember GPU Preview handles these colors pretty badly.
At the same time, export images with Overprint preview enabled would be a nice thing to have... it works, but not all the time in all cases, I remember discussing it here and elsewhere... will add links later.
Anyway, 'better looking gradients' is tough, but this topic certainly requires thinking over it. Thanks for rasing it. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Jonas, please try to disable Save in Background option and resave the file.
It seems to be buggy, as reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50611952
Comment back if it makes a difference.I’ve also requested the access for the file you shared.
UserVoice seems to have problems with attaching .ai-files now... I reported this.
For now zipping it seems a viable workaround. -

An error occurred while saving the comment There’s a general request about scrubbing, Photoshop-style, here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31977841
Another request says about modifier keys for using arrow keys, applicable here — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/35926921
One more request is about customizing default values for fields — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/37701121 (and numerous specific ones about certain tools and functions). As for the direction/angle + distance + size instead of X/Y offset values approach — you are the first one who asked about this, at least since 2017, when Ai UV was established. No wonder we have to wait! Voted.

To hide the permanent captions for artboards, go to Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display and disable the new 'Show Artboard name on canvas' option.
This would restore the previous behavior with labels being displayed only when Artboard Tool / mode is active, and shown above the artwork.
This feature was added because of this request
An error occurred while saving the comment A related request:
Make permanent artboard captions displayed on top when using Artboard Tool / mode

An error occurred while saving the comment Ibrahim, there are general problems with making raster images too small — they stop being selected.
I see the size of the image is just 1cm... I don’t see the effective resolution of this image (you never select it directly or show the Link Info section in the Links panel), but I’d assume is gigantic. Is is a JPEG? How large it is in pixels?

An error occurred while saving the comment Joshua, a similar bug was reported internally and then quickly fixed (June 10th).
I’m testing it with the file that had this problem with 29.6.1 build and it doesn’t happen anymore...What version are you using?
If it’s 29.6.1 too, please make a copy of your document with nothing but the image in question in it, package it and send it (or the link to the cloud storage, if the result is too heave for emailing it) to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please put also the the link to this report for quick tracking: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50193525An error occurred while saving the comment I now can confirm it, but can’t find the exact scenario to make this happen.
Toggling the option I mentioned doesn’t make it fixed.
I noticed it is somehow related to zoom level, but was not able to find logic.
Cesar, does it happen constantly for you? Only for linked or embedded images, or aby at all? Does restarting Ai help? Any detail goes!An error occurred while saving the comment Cesar, can you please check Preferences > Object & Anchor Selection, Object Selection by Path Only — it should be unchecked if you want to be able to select objects by their fill and images 'by pixels' (and it’s usually is disabled).
Please comment back if it’s the case (or not). -

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the investigation!
I’m passing this all to those who might be interested in digging further. An error occurred while saving the comment It’s possible that this happens because of the altered document profile, which could have happened because of the known recovery problem, when instead of restoring a document after a crash, Ai would open an actual document profile file. If any content got added into it and saved, it could lead to the fonts used in this content to be marked as used... resetting Preferences doesn’t heal it, because these files reset only when Ai get reinstalled or updated to a major build.
Please locate these profiles in folder similar to this one:
C:\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2025\Support Files\Required\New Document Profiles\en_US\
The actual path can differ based on your drive, build version, locale.
Then try to open Print.ai and/or Web.ai and study these. Check if any art exists in Layers.
Please comment back. -

An error occurred while saving the comment A workaround solution we have today is a script by Sergey Osokin, which stores the original layer of each object when run before distorting and reordering the objects back when run after — https://github.com/creold/illustrator-scripts/blob/master/jsx/RememberSelectionLayers.jsx
It won’t work for sublayers though.

An error occurred while saving the comment Open the attached file. It has one line, slightly rotated.
Try these steps
1. Make sure you have Use Preview Bounds enabled in Preferences
2. In Transform panel, enable Constrain Width and Height Proportions lock
3. Type 40 in Height field and press enterWhat expected is to have the rotation of the line being constant (and it happens with Use Preview Bounds disabled).
What happens is the line becomes slightly rotated counterclockwise.
It seems that Ai fails to calculate the proper bounds including stroke bounds.
The larger is stroke weight — the larger is rotation.
Also, if one checks Scale Strokes & effects, expecting it to be scaled with the object — it just won’t.An error occurred while saving the comment The bug is not new though... it’s been there with us at least from CS6.

An error occurred while saving the comment Elisel, if you have this file and are still experiencing this problem with wrapping in the latest Ai version, please send it to sharewithai@adobe.com or share directly in a comment if you are OK with it being public.
Alos, try to change the Every-line Composer to Single-line Composer in the Paragraph panel’s menu — would it make a difference?
I can’t reproduce it from scratch. For me RGB images get converted into CMYK when I embed them.
Something must be different...
Can you please share you Color Settings, a test document where you try to embed the image into, as well as the image itself?
Please either share them in a comment (zip them though — UserVoice is experiencing problems wit .ai attachments) or send directly to the team, via sharewithai@adobe.com (in this case mention the link to this report for tracking purposes — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50651732)
It’d be helpful to know your full OS and hardware specs.
