Illustrator Beta 29.2.10 now supports Nonbreaking space (U+00A0).
It can also be added with Type > Insert WhiteSpace Character > Nonbreaking Space command.
Please try this build and see if it works for you as expected.
My sincere congratulations to everyone. This symbol means a lot!

The latest Illustrator release - v29.3 now offers Area Calculation using Measure Tool:
- Select the objects in your artwork you want to calculate the area for.
- Select the Measure Tool from the Toolbar.
- The calculated area will be displayed in the Info panel, shown automatically.
- Shift + Click on a segment in the existing selection to remove/add it to area calculation.
- Configure measurement options by accessing the flyout menu of the panel. You can customize units, precision, and scale to suit your requirements.
Please update to v29.3 from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and keep sharing your feedback!

Perceptual gradients are now available in the latest 30.0 general build.
Toggle the option in the Gradient or Control panels.
Read more about it in this help article.
As stated there, important notes are:
- You won’t be able to expand a perceptual gradient into a gradient mesh
- Gradients added to CC Libraries don’t support this interpolation method — PDF format know nothing about it as a concept, it’s something only Ai does. The same reason prevents these to be exported as live gradient into PDF or SVG formats.
Note also, that some clipboard managers or extension would interfere in copy/pasting these, as reported here.
Please test it and comment back — this will help to improve this further.

This functionality is available in our latest release build – 29.0.1 .
Now you can scale you artwork with artboards using Artboard tool , Artboard Dimensions and Preset.

@m1b I have created a snippet checklist of Adobe problems in VSCode. I insert it into the template of a new script and constantly check whether I use a problematic function in that script or not :-D

This happens on both Mac OS and PC in different versions of Adobe Illustrator.

As Egor wrote in 2022, while in Illustrator gradients can be improved using the paid Gradient Blender script. In version 0.3 it added OKLCH space and hue interpolation methods as well.
