This issue is probably happening because the artboard dimensions are not appropriate for raster export (i.e. are in decimals).
If you make x and y values as the whole numbers in the transform panel (not in decimal), then the extra pixels will not be added to the exported image. That is the workaround, and it’s reported that it’s not always the case.
At the same time — Ai knows the size of artboards to be exported and yet it does not deliver the set sizes, which is not fair. The team is going to rethink the algorithm.

We are excited to announce that this feature is now available in BETA (starting V 29.1.28).
The new 'Generate color info' helps you share color information with others.
To use this, just select the colors from the swatch panel and click on 'generate color info' in the menu options.
You can customise the size, layout, color codes etc.
PS : Currently we only support CMYK values but other color codes such as RGB, HSB, spot vs process colors are in pipeline and we will ship them shortly.
Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!
Thanks
Saurav

Illustrator allows this today with Shape Builder tool.
You need to hold Opt/Alt and either click or brush through the excessive portion of the path, and Ai will trim it to the next intersection or between intersections. Works with selected objects only.
The precision of the tool is limited and bound to internal grid of the document. There is a bug report about this you might want to upvote.

Hello everyone,
Lately we have been thinking about improving the snapping / smartguide experience on Illustrator and we need your help in this process.
Please spare us some time of yours where we can come together on a online meeting and discuss your needs and pain point around snapping.

It is possible now to set up a custom scale in Ai Beta 28.4.0.2.
In Dimension Tool Options dialog open the Scale dropdown and choose custom to get the Custom Scale dialog.
It works for decimal scales only, like 1:12 or 1:15, but not for Imperial scales like 1/16"
Please try it and comment back.

The team has started working on this request. As a first step they want to understand the requirements correctly and build the right feature set based on the feedback gathered.
If you are willing to discuss area calculation in a call session, block a time slot here: https://outlook.office.com/bookwithme/user/c1b7ecea1cbd42a2a7068cfeb7861bdd@adobe.com/meetingtype/Fn8tXNebh0eyv4xTnvQ-3Q2?anonymous&ep=mlink

The Beta 28.4.0.7 now create live dimension objects, that track and follow the changes to the measured objects: resizing, rotating, moving...
As for now, moving only dimension breaks the link and expands the dimension (hopefully will change, and break the link only).
Moving an object with its related dimension currently expand the dimension as well (hopefully won’t do it either).
Please test the change and share feedback — it helps a lot!

The fix is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
If it misbehaves still — please comment back.
An error occurred while saving the comment Eduardo Moura commentedI'm on Windows 10 at work (22H2) running on an i7-4790, 16GB RAM, GTX 745 graphics card with latest drivers, 512GB SSD. Had the same problem at home running Windows 11 on an i7-9700, 32GB RAM, RTX-3060 graphics card, 1TB SSD.
There's really no specific step, or more likely I haven't found a pattern yet. Sometimes I just open a document with several portrait artboards, zoom out to see them all, and suddenly one of them just flips orientation to landscape. Other times, I'm already working with a document for some time and the artboard I'm currently working on just flips to landscape.
It's like Illustrator was reverting to some default artboard orientation (portrait to landscape for most of my 1080x1920px artboards) but I haven't found what triggers it yet.Eduardo Moura shared this idea · -

It's July 2024 and in the latest version, 28.5, this still happens. Nothing was made to fix this annoying bug.
