'Create PDF compatible file' is ticked for me (often the cause of this) but hidden layers still show when imported into InDesign.

The maddening thing is that ALL other tools in PS still use shift to constrain? And even when transforming smart objects, you still have to use shift!

If you're going to change this in Illustrator, for the love of God, please change it everywhere and co-ordinate the change with all the other apps in CC.

The inconsistencies are so jaw-dropping that frankly, the question has to be asked; what the **** is going on over there?

If this is something that is still happening for you, please share a test file you can reproduce this problem with, along with the video showing this happening for you, so that the team can try to reproduce it and investigate.

Same issue for me - for years!

Even if you turn off visibility and lock all layers, the selection remains. Then when you click on an actual object, all of the measurements take into account the random object that's selected.

I have no idea why it does it, long thread going back years here:

    Please fix.

    Cheers
