It is not as straightforward as it may sound :) We have been working to take advantage of threads and other hardware such as GPU/Video RAM in places where it can make a higher impact. We are prioritizing areas that are slow instead of making a generic change and destabilizing the product. Product stability is the top priority for us and we have been consistently trying to improve it. We want to move with caution and make changes without compromising on the quality. Hope this helps.

This thread is under review since what? 2017? Are you kidding me.
2017 there were already processors which could handle 8 parallel processes, we have 2021 now and the processors can handle 32 parallel processes easily.
But I have to wait over night to render out some assets. Watching my task manger reminds me of German road construction, 1 guy is working and the other 15 are watching peaceully. At least I can watch render a movie on the other processors in the mean time.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.0.0 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

The colour panel (or however that is called) gets stuck in RBG while telling me that is HSB mode.
The easy fix is to choose RGB mode and than switch back to HSB.

You can just type in the dimension you want and illustrator converts its automatically.
For example: Your stroke units are set to "px" but you want to define it by "mm", you can just type "2 mm" and it will convert it directly into "pixel"

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3

You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

Ok, I have tried the revised version of the simplify tool. I am quite happy, however ...

It would be awesome to have "force" options:

    1. force round corners
Like you have an option to only use straight lines. Why not have one to have round corners only.

    2. I might come up with some more....

"Was lange währt wird endlich gut."

Haven't tested it yet in detail, but seems to be back to good.

    And another Idea:

While showing the modified path, show the original path in red. That way we can see where we might need to change something later on.

What freaks me out, that I don't see how this tool works. Where does it change something? Where does it do nothing. etc....

    What about this idea:

Make the "simplify path" tool work like the "refine edges" tool in photoshop.
Select a path or only a subset of a path start the "simplify path" tool and then you can choose areas which should by simplified "a lot", only "a bit, or just "not at all". That way you give us the perfect control over this tool. For people who just need a rough simplification, they click and done, and for people who need maximum control, they can change it.

I am in for that too. The new tool f*** up my workflow. I lost control over the tool.

It would be awesome to have a panel for all the options a selected tool has, like the properties panel you have incorporated lately.

Right now there is the option to click "Tool Options" in the properties panel or do a double click on the tool itself, that are some clicks to many.

I have to change the option of the "Eyedropper" tool, or put exact values for "rotation" and "shear", right now I work like this:
    1. Select the path
    2. Select the desired tool (either shortcut or mouse click)
    3. Double click the tool
    4. put in values
    5. press Ok

You can easily get rid of step 3 to make my workflow faster.

Apply a stroke color to a 0 pt stroke should increase the stroke to 1 pt.
