An error occurred while saving the comment ilovemodok commentedMargins are such an important for of making posters and other graphic design related things, it would be great having this option in illustrator.
Happy that Indesign has this, but illustrator is often used for projects that have these very same needs, but I'm left with making the margins myself every time.

Illustrator introduced a new panel for creating 3D shapes in October 2021 — '3D and Materials'. Older effects are still available as 'Classic 3D'.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

An error occurred while saving the comment ilovemodok commentedIn the appearances panel, stroke is never allowed to go behind the type with click and drag.
I have to "trick" it by adding a stroke behind a shape, then making a style and then applying that on the type.
Would love for this bug to be smoothed out.

An error occurred while saving the comment ilovemodok commentedI'm updating to the 2020 edition of Illustrator and it's not keeping my keyboard shortcuts. I install the new Photoshop and I have to hunt down all my old color swatch sets.
Maybe there can be an easier, more automated way to store and retrieve this data with use of the cloud.

I wish there was a way to parent objects, link them like grouping, but independent of layer order.
This is done in 3D software and notably in After Effects with the pick whip.
Sometimes, especially in work like illustration or making assets for animation, things that are meant to be grouped together aren't necessarily all directly on top of each other.
A feature like this would greatly expend on Illustrator's abilities and keep it competitive in the future.
