This option exists in Beta 28.1 and higher and is still under development.
Please try it (you can install Beta from your CCD application) and see if it works like you expect. Your feedback on this will be crucial to shape a correct final experience for everybody. Comment back!

An error occurred while saving the comment Kait commentedI agree with this. Even with edges lined up perfectly, I still find little gaps when using the pattern brush on a curve.

I am happy to share that we have shipped the Bullets and Numbering in 26.4 update for Illustrator. It’s a phased rollout so you may not see 26.4 update yet but it would rollout globally in a day or two.
You can read about this and other new features here ( https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2022-5.html ).

There seem to be different ways people tackle the problem for color exploration. We want your opinion on the following two approaches -
1. Selected Swatches to show up in a panel view (like swatches).
2. Selected Swatches to show up as rectangular objects on the canvas (in a separate layer). Users can use eyedropper to pick up colors (ability to pick Fill, Stroke, Appearance in such cases).
Users can select size, spacing etc between the color palettes in both these approaches.

I would also like to see this feature. It would be great when creating a continuous pattern brush based on something like a pencil stroke. Only being able to use the one repeating section takes away some of the authenticity. Having the option to create multiple variations that show up at random intervals would help create a more natural look for these types of brushes.
