  1. Embed SBSAR 3D Material Into .AI File

    The ability to embed a 3D SBSAR material into an illustrator file so that other designers can open and use the same .ai file. Currently, the material is lost and greyed out.

    Especially if they are custom SBSAR materials made in Adobe Substance Sampler.

  2. Mark layers/sublayers in the layers panel

    We used to be able to easily tell layers and other containers apart in the Layers panel. Layers/sublayers were marked with a darker or lighter background in the Layers panel.
    This is important for several functionality that can be applied to groups but not layers and vice versa. Particularly when you deal with complex artwork such as puppets for Character Animator, but not limited to them. And you need it when analyzing other peoples' files.

  3. Please make a user manual / user guide available online

    Why isn't there a functional and useful user manual or user guide available online?

    The lack of issuing any type of user guide is a huge missed opportunity. It seems this task has been Offloaded to the Adobe community. Adobe used to consider its customers/clients ones who deserved professional, well-organized, easy-to-use, comprehensive instructions and guides. Whatever happened to supporting those who put/keep you in business? I guess in the software business that's progress ...?

  4. Why can't I save Swatches in L*a*b* format except as Spot Color?

    Why can't I save Swatches in Lab* format except as Spot colors?
    This is unique to Adobe Illustrator, unfortunately, and such a thorn in the side of a device-independent color management workflow. Please resolve.

  5. Allow apple’s “accent menu” to be used inside Adobe apps, instead of repeating the character endlessly.

    Currently if you press and hold a physical keyboard button, it just repeats the character like this sssssssssss.
    If the macOS feature “accent menu” works in future versions of Adobe apps. Typing in other languages that use accents like Italian (for example è and ì) would be easier. Instead of typing on another word processor then pasting into Adobe app. You can type è é ê ë ē easily on an English keyboard.

  6. A favorite fonts floating palette

    While I’m designing let’s say a poster, I an using 4 fonts,, would like to be able to access those 4 fonts anytime, instead of going to fonts, or characters , having a floating pallet so I can see the fonts and seek them immediately.
    Just like when you pull a pallets out from the tools pallet.

  7. I am wondering if anyone can help me as my gradient tool is not working. When I click it it switches between the mouse and gradient icon.

    I am wondering if anyone can help me as my gradient tool is not working. I can click it from the toolbar or press the G key on my keypad, but when I try to use it doesn't work. The gradient icon just switches between that and the mouse icon when I press it.

  8. For when you're creating graphics in different Middle Eastern or south asian languages there should be a option to format the whole artboad

    When you don't know the language in which you're designing you can miss formatting text boxes. They end up being gross errors in your final output.
    Also, it requires too many steps even now.
    A button to format the text on an entire artboard would really save a lot of time!

  9. When sharing a file for a client to add comments. Add a button for when they are done adding comments.

    When sharing a file for a client to add comments. It would be good for a button to be added saying "done" or "finished". At the moment, we get notified for every comment, and I don't know when the client has finished adding all their comments. It would be good to get a notification of when they have finished.

    En el menú «Ver», la primera opción dice «Ver CPU en uso»/«Ver GPU en uso», pero en inglés es "View using CPU"/"View using GPU", por lo que la traducción debería ser «Ver usando CPU»/«Ver usando GPU».

  12. Give the ability to export extra Spot colors in .PSD files (also implement the Mixed Inks feature)

    I think it's for Adobe to implement the ability to export files in .PSD and have those extra colors in separate channels (maybe in CMYK mode plus the extra spot colors translated to extra color channels).

    If it works well with PDF files why not with Photoshop files?

    It's a real pain to get a 5 colors file (CMYK + Pantone color) exported to Photoshop. PSD files have all the colors flattened for the exported mode option (RGB, CMYK).

  15. [UXP, ExtendScript] API access to Link Info

    Idea: to provide simple script API access to placed image information as displayed in the Link Info section of the Links Panel. Especially pixel dimensions, PPI, scale and rotation. Currently there are no simple ways to get this information via script.

    Note: if too late for ExtendScript, please consider this while implementing UXP.

    I posted this here because this information is something I have wanted for my own scripts, and we get quite a few questions about this on the user forum, too, so it seems like a considerable lack at the moment.

  16. Menu TYPE no Illustrator

    Creio que seria muito interessante inverter a ordem no Menu Type:
    "Fontes Recentes" ficar antes da opção "Fontes".
    Porquê:
    Ao levar o ponteiro do mouse para o menu "Fontes Recentes", quase sempre o mouse atinge a opção "Fontes", o que trava momentaneamente o programa (carregando as fontes). Então, o que deveria ser uma coisa rápida, prática, acaba ficando lenta. A troca na ordem dessas opções acabaria com esse incoveniente.

  17. Remove size limitation on playing tutorial videos in the Discovery window

    Illustrator allows playing tutorial videos in the Discover panel (Help > Tutorials). However, the size of the video is constrained by the width constraint on the Discovery window. There is no apparent way to enlarge the video big enough to see the detail in the video to follow along with the tutorial. Tutorial videos should be able to be enlarged up to full screen. Many videos only appear to be accessible now through the in-app tutorial.

  19. Export images with an option of including or excluding bleed

    It would be great to have the feature in an Export window (in one of the two attached).

    The only way to remove the bleed is to remove document bleed temporarily or remove it manually in Photoshop.

    We remove bleed before we add the artwork to our catalogues.

  20. Ability to see the size of elements in terms of KB/MB to easily find cause of file bloat

    When trying to strip down a file, it would be really useful to be able to see which effects in particular are bloating the file. For example - I had a file with a load of boxes with a glow effect applied to them. I thought I had undone all of this but the size of the file was still over 40mb. I had to dig through all the boxes again in the appearence panel to see that there were two instances of a rasterize effect that i'd missed. when i deleted those the file size went down by over…
