  1. Crop ratio

    In Photoshop, you're able to apply ratios that lock the cropping view frame which you're then able to position over the photo. This would be great for Illustrator as well.

  2. Option for "Don't collapse panel"

    I never want Layers panel to collapse completely when I enlarge other panels. Other panels are less important to my workflow and I don't mind what they do, but I'd like to have the option to lock open a heavily-used panel so I'm not constantly having to expand it.

  3. Ai Feels Old and Unintuitive Next to New Adobe Products

    Illustrator feels old. I find myself trying to do more and more vector work in XD or Photoshop simply because Ai feels like something from the 90s. There is very little consistency in how things work in Ai versus the other adobe apps. Swatches from CC are endlessly frustrating. Too many tools appear to do the same thing slightly differently. The app seems to assume everything will eventually be printed.
    I know this is very general, but perhaps a new vector creation tool is needed in the lineup. I've tried Draw and Sketch on the iPad but they also feel…

  4. Resizing multiple Artboards at once for a better Icon-design performance

    When creating an icon-set of hundreds of icons at 16px, it would be super convenient to have the option to resize all the artboards for the following sizes (e.g: 24 px, 32px, 48px...). This is so cause when I have created the first file, I have also taken the time to properly name all the artboards so that when I export them, developers can find them with the naming-system that we had already created.

    The problem I am facing now with this feature is that I cannot keep the names and so, I need to start over the same process…

  5. Automatically fit windows to screen when unplugging second monitor.

    When I'm using a second (big) monitor with my laptop, and I unplug the 2nd monitor, the Illustrator windows remain huge but move to my laptop screen, and it's difficult to resize the windows down to fit. They should automatically detect the screen size and fit accordingly.

  7. Way to change "Custom" Document name

    Would love to be able to change this "Custom" name to something more descriptive. I have a few piece of equipment that I would like to be able to select quickly. For now I have to go through the hassle of templates which works well but is several other clicks. Would be nice to have a way to quickly create documents for those specific equipment types with preconfigured settings.

  8. Conditional appearance panel

    It would be great if you could use some conditional logic together with appearance panel, and possibility to pick individual characters/words (first/middle/last 1, 2,...characters). And also possibility to combine several styles under one appearance, together with some input panel for user interaction). That would make it possibility to do more repeat things that you now need an action for but instead could use a style. Because actions I have tried tend to have a lot of errors to them, sooner or later. So maybe this could become a more stable option and I can see how this can make Illustrator…

  9. Freezing

    The image does not change. I go to a new tab with a different file and the same image is showing.
    I go to use the Align tab and STILL showing the Layers tab. I have to completely quit illustrator. This has been happening since the update. This is costing me production time. I have to quit illustrator and reopen at least 10 times a day.

  10. In illustrator, you can't add a stroke to an image file. But when you click on an image, it shows the option to select a stroke colour/size

  11. Please bring back the Center point as guide

    In previous versions the Center point (attribute) kept showing when an object was made a Guide. But unfortunately, in Ai cc2019 this no longer happens.
    That Center point is essential for working accurate.
    Please bring it back.

  12. User folder for custom brushes and graphic styles

    It would be great if there were a way to quickly save a selected custom brush and/or graphic style to a single user folder. This would make access easier, and enable better organization.

  13. Copy and Paste mesh points into a mesh replacing selected points

    I have to make changes to a series or envelope meshes the top section is the same and the bit I need to change so it would be nice to copy the points from one mesh into another by just overlaying the meshes and transferring the points from one to the other

  14. Please fix "colour changing of vector elements between illu and ps"

    If you Copy/Paste vector objects - saving it to a library - from Illustrator to Photoshop causes a marignal colour change. That's pretty annoying and has to be fixed immidiatley, thx!

  16. Recolor Artwork flip 2 colors

    I want to quickly flip 2 colors within a multi-colored design.

    Lets say I have Object A (RED) and Object B (Blue) I want A to be Blue and B to be red. I try to find tutorials about it but couldn't find any. I have tryed everything in recolor artwork but its not possible to switch simply two colors (withing a multi-colored design, large file to see different color options quickly)

  17. Export PSD from Illustrator

    Could you please help me to improve your product. I want to export PSD from Illustrator that can keep the shape and I can edit the color of this shape on photoshop. Now when I export PSD, all the shapes are rasterized. Because I usually design the website on illustrator. After that, I export to Photoshop. And I use this photoshop to upload to Invision. So that I need the shape is original.

  18. Complaint

    Illustrator 2019 23.0.1. sucks. I have been using adobe tools for over 20 years and this is the worst update you have ever released. Not only does it take forever to open any app including InDesign, PS, ILL and acrobat, but then it constantly freezes. I can't get any work done. You keep raising the price of the subscription, but your updates cost me more in time troubleshooting than anything else. The very basic grouping and selecting a group doesn't work in the new illustrator, I am using the most up to date OS on a 2 year old iMac.…

  19. Set application default Type and Paragraph menu options

    I have Middle East/English installed b/c occasionally I need to do a ME translation and it is pointless to have to uninstall/reinstall each time. I would like the ability to set the application default for the following so that when you set up a new document, it defaults to the things you wanted. You can currently do this with tools, but not with the actual menus.

    Type Menu:
    Font
    Lanugage
    Digits

    Paragraph Menu:
    Alignment
    Paragraph Direction
    Composer type (e.g. Adobe Single Line composer)
    Type direction

    You can do this in InDesign but not in Illustrator. Not sure why, but it's…
