  2. [BUG] xmpMM:DocumentID isn't unique at creation stage

    When you create new documents, they all share the same XMP documentID value while you would expect it's unique for every single new document.
    Saving the document solves the issue but it means one can't rely on documentID uniqueness while the document isn't saved.
    It needs to be unique at the creation stage already.

    Moving as a feature request. We generate an unique value only on file save. When you create a file it inherits all the attributes of the preset it uses. This is the reason you see the same uuid each time you create the document,

    In latest version of Illustrator you can access Discover panel by hitting F1 or via Help menu.

    This new window allows you to search within tools, commands, tutorials, etc. — but no commands form other panels’ menus, or scripts, or actions.

    If you need this functionality, or have any other comments regarding this panel — please do it here or in a separate request.

  5. Making a light Prezi-like presentation mode inside adobe Illustrator by defining views and a presentation view panel

    Please add a presentation mode functionality, something like Prezi or Focusky like animations between views inside Illustrator itself.

    The user should have ability to define views inside artboards. Each view consists of scale, rotations and position like Prezi, on every slide change the view changes animatingly between the views.
    For now I use Shift + Page Down and Page Up to switch between artboards. But not inside an artboard and not with animations. I push f twice and enter full screen and its cool. But there can be a lite presentation mode managed by a small panel, containing views, which…

  6. let me interact with the artboard while having appearance-effect dialogues open

    As soon as a dialogue from the effects panel is open (e.g. 3D extrude & bevel or drop shadow, etc. ...) I cannot interact with my artwork anymore as the dialogue box hogs the focus. This is really annoying as you often want to adjust the size or position of your object when editing the effects to better see if everything meshes well together

  8. Autodesk designer had this feature. Need real line weighting. Please offer handle rotation/individual handle movement in the Width tool?

    Please consider the same bezier path tools incorporated into the Pen Width tool. My inkling cleanup would be a breeze and this may be an easy and awesome feature enhancement. Autodesk Designer used to have this tool and it saved a LOT of time.

  10. Show Layer/Object name in Properties Panel

    Could the name of the currently selected object or layer be displayed (and even editable) in the Properties panel, at the very top where it tells you what is currently selected? That would save so much time.

    Other than that, really like the new Properties panel!

  11. Change default point type (corner or smooth) when using Join tool

    When joining two open paths using the Join tool, the point created at their intersection will always be smooth, even if the two paths previously ended in corners (such as in the diagram). I would like to please request that the Join tool give the user the option to choose what kind of point (corner or smooth) it will create.

    In the same vein, may I request that an option to remove previous points be added? (indicated by red arrows on diagram attached)

    Finally, when trying to convert that new point to a corner, one must first explicitly change it…

  12. selective display of graphic elements

    When working with large files for large prints, we often run with slow-down issues due to having many vectorized images and transparency modes. Normally one knows who is the culprit and it would be nice to be able to select some sort of 'low-res' representation of the heavy graphics so it does not slow down the machine so much.

  13. "Sowing"

    So the name is called "Sowing" for the reason as shown in the picture. The object doesn't necessarily have to have so many "cuts."

    The idea is to make "slices" within a single object, which allows a stroke or other object to over- and underlap an object in a single layer, without having to make extra layers to hide the "threading" object. This will prevent having to cut up, or mask or duplicate objects.

    Basically it's also allowing anchors of the same object to switch between layers.

  14. wrong asset export folder android

    Asset export for android , create sub-folder create folder 1x, 2x, 3x... which is for iOS . it should be drawable-xxxhdpi sub-folder following android guideline.
    anyone doing QA ???

    Asset export has a feature to create folders on scale factors. The suffix that you are expecting as part of the foldername is not built. I am moving this as a feature request.

  15. Pathfinder and clipped objects/draw inside

    Right now, when trying to combine via Pathfinder, an object with a draw inside function/clipping mask, with another object - it basically release the clipping masks and combines everything.

    When trying to make an outline for characters with a lot of details, it becomes very frustrating.

    Attached is a simple example

  16. データの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなった。

    macユーザーです。イラストレーターCC2018 にアップグレードしたところ、今までデータファイルの「情報を見る」で見れていた作成時のバージョンが見れなくなりました。お客様とのやりとりでバージョンをお客様それぞれに合わせてダウングレードしていたので、簡易的に確認ができないと不便です。他に同様のアプローチができるようになっていたら教えていただきたいです。

  17. Stencils: Pencil or Brush Draw Inside/Outside Any Guide or Path

    I'd really like to see an implementation for stencils and drawing along rulers, guides and inside/outside any path.

  18. Return / make optional ability to indicate subfolders in artboard name / path

    In previous versions it was possible to make name of artboard as "folder/subfolder/artboardname" and while export it would reproduce whole hierarchy of subfolders.
    It was super nice for organizing assets.
    Now it saves file in base directory and replaces "/" with "-".
    Maybe we can put this option to settings so that people may continue to use it.

  19. Editing corner radius

    It is extremely important in my job that I am able to manipulate the corner radiuses of an object uniformly or individually by entering a specific number. I am not able to find this feature in the latest 2018 version that is as easily accessible as the previous version. I would really appreciate it if this feature was available on the transform palette.

  20. Kontour in Adobe Draw

    Hello,
    it would be great if you could draw contours in Adobe Draw. If I draw a picture with a black contour in Draw, it is always a closed sharpe. A Kontour (as in Illustrator) would simplify later editing in Illustrator many times over.
