Add checkbox to modify Magic Wand tool so you can select from "Active" or "All Artboards"
Selecting fills/strokes based on their colors is a great way to make changes quickly in Adobe Illustrator.
The issue with the Magic Wand tool is that it selects colors from ALL ARTBOARDS.
My request is to add a simple checkbox to give the Magic Wand tool the option to select just the "Active" artboard. By default it will select from "All" artboards.
Thank you!

Freeform Gradient 0% Opacity Option
The freeform gradient is a wonderful tool but it would be more robust if the gradient points can be put to 0% opacity so there's a nice fade. At the moment, the point disappears if you bring the opacity down to zero.

Need the option to view smaller thumbnail size swatches/icons in Libraries. There's too much scrolling to reach the end of the palette. Thanks.

CC cloud library "view by group" option when relink images...
The addition of "view by group" option to organize assets has become paramount to manage great projects. But... I've faced the problem that when I want to relink any file from Cloud Libraries, the panel appears without any grouping or organization, needing to search through houndreds of individual asstes, manytimes sharing same name, and small enough to be undifferenciated each other.

Please create hands-on tutorials inside application same as in AfterEffects
AfterEffects has hands-on tutorials inside the application where user can learn and practice side-by-side simultaneously. Very useful and effective to have. Please create the same resources for Illustrator.

Move anchor points in opposite direction relative to the object’s center point
For years I have been hankering for a way to work with anchor points the same way as the width tool works or the option/alt modifier key works when resizing a shape with the selection tool.
When two anchor points are selected I want to be able to move those points in opposite directions. Either attract or repel.Imagine there is a straight line between the two selected anchor points, when one of the points is moved away from the other point (pressing the modifier key) the point that is selected but not dragged should move in the opposite direction.

Tools to edit paths to make straight lines, sharp corners, and smooth curves for faster vector trace clean up
Attached are three tool examples I would like implemented into Illustrator to speed up the process of cleaning up vector paths. A lot of times when you do a vector trace the corners of text or objects will not have a sharp point or areas with straight lines will become jagged or distorted. To clean these areas up requires a lot of single clicks on points and anchor points to get the right result. Implementing these types of tools into illustrator will allow for these changes in as little as three clicks vastly speeding up the process. On top of that being able to see the changes and adjust them before they are applied will also help in making it easier and faster to get the line, corner or curve you want. I hope this is something that can be implemented into Illustrator as it would be beneficial for anyone working with vectors.

Option to move the live measurement display to the other side of the cursor.
I'm right handed. When dragging out shapes, line segments, artboards, etc., the live measurement display is obscured by my hand. It would be great if there were an option to move it to the other side of the cursor so right handed people can see it. Another option would be to have it display somewhere on the control panel. Just somewhere where it could be easily seen.

Drag & Drop Appearance
Hi,
Currently, moving individual "Appearance" between objects is a difficult route:
1. Select the object. Deselect the object.
2. Display the "Appearance" palette
3. Delete unnecessary "Appearance"
4. create a style. with the right Apperance
5. Select the object.
6. ALT + Click on the style to add a new Appearance to the existing Appearance of the object.Whew ....
Can you not create the ability to drag the Appearance?
It would be great and so much more time during work.
Best Regards

Halftone vector
As one of my friend getting irregular shaped while creating Halftone Vector by following this steps
Create a shape (circle) > Use Gradient in it > Effect > Pixelate > Color halftone > Object > Raster > Image trace
He was getting irregular circle shapes in the artwork.
So while exploring to resolve this we added Blend option just after doing raster. That remove the irregular shape.
Create a shape (circle) > Use Gradient in it > Effect > Pixelate > Color halftone > Object > Raster > Blend (inside object menu) > Blend options > Image trace (make sure that Ignore white option is check in)
I hope it will resolve someone else issue too.

"The Pattern Contains Active Content... And Must Be Expanded"
This limitation is such trash.
I shouldn't have to expand my brush strokes in order to save a pattern. This totally kills the ability to edit the pattern later!
Please overcome this limitation instead of offloading the tough work on your users. Or charge less for your half-baked software.

PDF export setting sorted alphabetically
It would be nice if the Illustrator PDF export preset dropdown would be sorted alphabetically instead of, what looks like, random. Indesign does this perfectly, why not Illustrator?

How to open multi-page pdf in Illustrator on their newly-created artboards
Hello,
I have to place multi-page pdf's on a daily basis at work. The File, Open command let's me choose a pdf file and select which pages to open in Illustrator. It even has the option of opening them as links. This is great! Now, would it be possible to have Illustrator create artboards and populate them with pages from the pdf file? Perhaps through a dialog box? Thank you for your time!5 votes -
Allow large format canvas for outdoors/billboards design without scaling
Using Illustrator (or InDesign, for that matter) to make outdoors/large printing projects is a huge pain - many times the production team (which is usually NOT the same team that designed the thing) doesn't read properly the instructions, and then errors happen.
Also, other older software packages don't suffer from that kind of artwork / artboard size limitations.

On the free form gradient tool can you allow each circle to be smaller for more detailed illustrations?
This free form gradient tool is my favorite update of all time. But I'd like to be able to have more detail and control. The circles are too big to allow for this and it really limits the tool.

Please make color control a **** of a lot more intuitive
Hi team,
I am familiar with InDesign and Photoshop. I am really trying to use illustrator on a project. I am fairly new to illustrator and am using the latest version as of 10/30/2018. I have to say the way you use and set colors in Indesign is either horribly broken (i.e., Bug) or it is not at all intuitive or similar to other Adobe tools. For example, I want to create a color gradient swatch that is applied to an image and then alter the color gradient and see how it looks. Seems simple - but I have been working to try and do this for a day now and it seems to be impossible to change a color swatch once it has been created.
Sometimes I the color gradient window is locked - sometimes not - there seems to be no logic or reason why and no way to unlock the gradient editor. I create a new gradient swatch and can't edit it. I can create a copy of an existing swatch and can't seem to reliably edit that either.
You have no idea how NON INTUITIVE your color editing mechanism is for a new user. I have now formed the opinion that it can't be that hard - so I assume it is a bug. If it is not a bug PLEASE give some indication SOMEWHERE that the color editor is locked or not and provide a mechanism for unlocking it that is obvious. ARRRGGHHHH

Illustrator Actions switching document tabs
I have two document templates open. I would love to be able to use the Actions to record my action of switching tabs and continuing my actions on the second document. I know the keyboard shortcuts for switching tabs, but I can't record that action in Actions panel.

"Go to" used swatch directly from swatch panel
Just like you can click "go to" any link, and InDesign will show you where the link is on the page, it would be great to select all objects per swatch no matter if it's a fill or stroke. Currently the "select similar" option only selects objects with same characteristics. If you sample a filled shape it will look for a filled shape, and it will not detect an outlined shape even if it is the same color. I struggled trying to find an unwanted swatch color. It was hidden behind many layers as an outline with no fill.
