新規作成時のドキュメントウィンドウの全画面表示について
アプリケーションフレームをOFFにした状態でドキュメントの新規作成をすると、ドキュメントウィンドウが全画面で配置され、左右のツールパネルの下に潜り込んで表示されます。
毎回ドキュメント全体を表示させるのに、ドキュメントウィンドウをドラッグしてサイズを小さくし、パネルとの重なりをなくすひと手間が入ります。
※ツールパネルはフロート状態ではなく固定しています。Photoshopのように（またはイラレでアプリケーションフレームを使用した時と同じように）ツールバーやパネルに重ならないようにドキュメントウィンドウを表示する仕様にはならないでしょうか。
またはそれができる設定はあるのでしょうか。4 votes -
Allow sub-groups to be seen when re-linking to CC Library for quicker workflow
Sub-groups in libraries are super helpful for locating an asset quickly, but when you're re-linking an asset to the CC Library the Sub-Groups disappear and you have to scroll through hundreds of images across all brands and categories hoping to find the right image.

Color Picker digits round up
Hi, I like Illustrator for many reasons, but I find one little thing is annoying. So often I need to prepare the design files for my printer. And because the color picker doesn't have the feature of auto rounding up the digits, the color I used always has decimals, instead of a rounded up number in CMYK mode. It is not easy for the printer to process these color data. I have to round up each color manually, which is time-consuming and I might miss some elements. So is it possible to have the color picker have an option of rounding up digital for the color it picked up? And in the Appearance panel, the color digits are always not the same as the color picker panels show, which has the decimal digits.

More options to adjust UI scaling
Yesterday I downloaded Illustrator (26.0.2) for the first time. But the small User Interface stops me from using the product. The text is so tiny, especially in Properties and Layers panels. For me the possibility of a larger text is important. If there is no option for enlarging, I stop using the product. But I really want to use Illustrator and to create beautiful things.
I tried to fix the issue with Edit > Preferences > User Interface < Adjust the UI Scaling slider. But the changes are insignificant on the highest possible value. I think the UI Scaling slider is a little bit shorter than the slider from previous versions.
It will be great if the product becomes more accessible in the future!

User Groups in libraries instead of sharing to individuals
When Using Libraries to share files to other users it would benefit from being able to create groups of users to send to rather than adding each individual email address for each user every time.

Paste Remembers Layer from Indesign To Illustrator
When pasting from Indesign to Illustrator it would be very handy if there was a remember way to keep layers intact instead of flattening them onto one layer? Maybe a dialogue box that just okays the action?

Choose Which Paragraph Style is Based on Another Paragraph Style
When creating a new paragraph style, it would be very helpful to choose which other style it's based on. Currently, the only option is the default paragraph style. This is very nice when you have one base style, and you can build on it with other styles.

Create a function that examines the file links in an ai file and convert any AFP links to SMB links.

Do not allow save if multiple versions of same file is open in same computer
Lets say, you have 10 files open when you are working in illustrator. You take a break and come back, and open another instance of the same file say, X (you forgot you have X already open). It does give you a message, that 'the file is already open, do you want to reopen' etc., but you are quick these days to click ok on any dialog box, rather than reading what the message was. Now, you have two instances of the same file open in the same window. This leads to multiple complications:
1. You save one version. Take a break, come back and find another version. You see it does not have the latest changes, leading to confusion and overwork.
2. You save the latest file to close it. Then as you are closing the files, you reach the earlier file, which is an earlier version. Now to close you have to save, and the moment you save, you have overwritten the latest file with a previous version.To avoid this, if multiple version of the same file are open on the same computer, please give an error message -
' A file by the same name is already open - last revised at DD/MM HH:MM. Saving this file will overwrite this file.'
Or 'Switch to the other file to close that file'.
Etc.

Allow the GRID to only be on the canvas, allowing the outer space to be used at the same time for element while building a project
Allow the GRID to only be on the canvas, allowing the outer space to be used at the same time for element while building a projects. ALSO allow a slider to dim down the lines and a line width slider for the lines. This way its fully customizable for the user.

Je souhaiterai pouvoir sélectionner de multiples points avec l'outil sélection directe et que la commande joindre (Commande -J) fasse la jointure pour tous les couples de points ayant même abscisse et même ordonnée.
Ce qui motive ma demande est que je récupère des fichiers générés par des sites web où chaque segment est isolé. C'est problématique soit pour ajouter un fond, soit pour avoir une découpe plus rapide et plus propre sur ma découpe laser. Avec des segments courts, le matériau n'a pas le temps de refroidir entre deux passes et fini par se consumer. Avec des tracés longs, la découpe reste propre malgré les passes multiples.What drives my request is that I recover files generated by websites where each segment is isolated. This is problematic either to add a background, or to have a faster and cleaner cutting on my laser cutting. With short segments, the material does not have time to cool between two passes and will eventually burn out. With long tracks, the cut remains clean despite multiple passes.

Save as pdf (range) without ALL canvases being saved in the background
When I save a range from a multiple-canvas Illustrator document, the pdf in Acrobat shows only the range requested, but when opening the pdf back into Illustrator, ALL canvases from the original document are in the document.
Example (see also screenshots):
I have a simple Illustrator document with 72 canvases. When I save ONE canvas from that document (Save as PDF, range X, Press quality), the pdf it creates shows to have only one page, but the file size of the pdf is 20+Mb, which for this simple work is exorbitantly high. Upon opening the pdf back into Illustrator, it shows all 72 canvases again.I want to preserve Illustrator editing options, so I can't/don't want to uncheck that.

Ability to convert Freeform Mesh to Gradient Mesh
The ability to convert a freeform mesh to a gradient mesh is sorely needed. I love creating a gradient with Freefrom Mesh, it's a lot more user friendly but it is a lot more heave on the system, especially when you start having multiple objects. The ability to convert a Freeform Mesh to a Gradient Mesh should be a standard feature. Analysing the colours as it does from an image but creating a more contoured mesh as it does by default with a vector.
Gradient mesh is less heavy on the system and more universally accessible say for exporting as an SVG instead of rasterising the gradient

Eyedropper to to show ink percentages in elements.
A tool that if you click on an element in the file will show you the percentage of spot or process color being used in that spot. Make it live so you can move around easily and not pick up the art. Similar to the info panel in photoshop. We use a program called PackZ that does this. A screenshot of the use of the eyedropper is attached.

Auto opening a layered illustrator file in photoshop as layered smart objects.
I create my original illustration files in vector format and in layers in Adobe Illustrator. I then copy each layer to its own artboard and save off an Ai file with the multiple layers converted to artboards, I then manually place these artboards as individual linked smart layers in Photoshop to ensure a non-destructive and combined Vector/Bitmap workflow/solution between Ai and PS.
This is a LOT of manual work each time, Photoshop SHOULD be able to open a simple and layered Illustrator file automatically like this in this non-destructive manner.
Saving off as a layered PSD file from Ai rasterises as does the new cut and paste layers between Ill/photoshop feature.
Even a pre-made and supplied script for each piece of software would help.
The workflow between Ill and Ae with layers is great and works, the workflow between Ai and PS is an unnecessary mess by comparison while working via artboards instead of layers.
