  1. .obj asset file multiple group/layer hierarchy

    It’s very cool that you can export 3d models as obj - when I try to import the obj file Into blender, the group objects become scattered and lose there positioning that I have created - please make it so that when I import the file all of the objects are together / grouped as I intended and not scattered - great job on the new update 👍🏻

  2. Clipping mask with text

    It would be musch easier if text could work as clipping masks without expanding (or apply the create outline command on) them.

  3. show swatch folders in recolor artwork panel

    In the recolor artwork panel when you double click the color on the right to determine what the color is being changed to, you can choose from swatches by then clicking on swatches. But, it's just a list of all of the swatches with no indication of which swatch folder the swatches are in. This makes recoloring difficult at times

  4. Pen tool - just double click last point to stop drawing (and leave path open)

    It used to be (many versions ago) that if I was drawing with the pen tool, all I had to do is double click my last point, and it would end that graphic, leaving it open, and leaving the tool ready to draw another line. Now the only way to stop seems to be to hit return (which is awkward since I am right handed), go hit another tool, or use a keystroke. All of these take more time and break my train of thought.

  5. Bullets & Numbering in Shortcuts

    The menu items for bullets and numbering are not in "Edit shortcuts" At least not in the German version of Illustrator.

    Could they perhaps be made available for shortcuts?

  7. Fast way to make multiple text boxes

    I like to break up words and phrases in to multiple text boxes so I can move them freely. It would be nice to have a fast way while typing out the phrase to break it in to more than one text box. Like a “command + enter” type thing that instead of going to a new line it goes to a new text box.

  8. Apply arrowheads with eyedropper

    When using the eyedropper tool on a line, I would like the arrowheads from the line I am imitating to be applied to the selected line. I don't want to scroll through all the arrowhead options for every line! If I apply it once, It'd be so much easier to eyedrop that same feature on all the other lines I need it for.

    This is something I would use for my job while making tech packs every day! I have arrowheads on the ends of dimensions and callouts.

  9. Linking issue, always linked together after copying

    Illustrator : After copying artboards, it's still linked to the previous one, meaning whatever I do to the 2nd one, the 1st one effects too.
    After Effects : After copying the composition, it's still ..... (the same thing happens).

    So I'd suggest if we have the option to link or not to (which means choose to be the same as the previous one we copied or not).
    Because I am beating around the bush, just to adjust the current one that I've copied.

  10. API for getting the reflection/flip property of an image frame

    We would like to get the flip property of an image frame..
    It can be in a similar way to the way we get the rotation by passing the matrix:
    AIAPI void (*AIRealMatrixGetRotate) ( const AIRealMatrix *m, AIReal *angle );

    If this is not possible, then as a workaround we can get some notifies, for example: kFlipHorizontalNotifier or kFlipVerticalNotifier in order to know that the user selects to flip the image.

  11. Speed up Redraw with All Thumbnail Options on One Button

    Switching off thumbnails for improved draw speed means switching various options and locations to get the layer, object and transparency thumbs all switched off. Working many customer files per day this is a drag.

    Please put them all on one "thumbs" radio button with options for all-on, all-off, or custom preference, so I can get my work done faster.

    Make this an application preference rather than document preference to save me even more time.

  15. Add Cut At / Connect / Remove Selected Anchor Points commands to 'Object > Path' menu

    In Control panel we have three buttons for a point partial selection:

    1. Remove selected anchor points.
      Does the same as a menu command Object > Path > Remove Anchor Points, and this command can have a hotkey assigned to

    2. Connect selected end points.
      Does the same as a menu command Object > Path > Join, and has a default hotkey. Why Ai uses both 'Join' and 'connect' for the same operation, and also has 'Join' tool, which does a pretty different thing — is an UX mystery.

    3. Cut path at selected anchor points.
      There is NO a menu command for…

  16. Unnecessary rectangles upon embedding from the Library

    After embedding an object from the library, it appears a transparent outline around the object itself. This creates issues while exporting in DWG for instance, but also in the drawing modification in Illustrator, as we have to remove manually this outline object by object

  19. Ability to change default unit of measurement

    Please add the ability to change the default units for documents. I work in print and it's frustrating (and annoying) to have to change the units from points to inches every time I create a new document.
