Move selected objects while "object selection only by paths" is on
When "object selection only by paths" is on in my preferences, I should be able to move a selected object while clicking on it's fill. At the moment, if I select an object, and then click left mouse button down and drag on it's fill to move, the program think I'm trying to do a drag selection, and that make no sense.

Colors: bring existing color to front
I ran into this so many times: I want to change an element with a colored fill, go to the color palette hit the new color and boom: I have an outline because I forgot to switch to fill. So I need to delete that outline, swap from outline to fill color and do what I initially wanted: Change the fill color. WHY does Illustrator not automatically bring the color to front that already exists on an element? If an element only has a fill, bring the fill to front upon selction. Colors: change line and area at one time
How about a shortcut for changing both line and area color at a time? Say I have a red square with a red contour and I want to change both to green I will have to change one thing first and then the other. Maybe a shortcut like alt or shift would help?

Index colour profile setting to create pixel art
Just how you have image mode settings in photoshop illustrator could really benefit from the feature of index image mode, allowing artists to create accurate pixel art. Lots of textile designers will also benefit from it.

integrate settings between Rosetta based release version and beta/prerelease
I need to switch between rosetta illustrator (for Astute Graphics plugins) and the beta native version.
Is it possible for them to share settings, or alternatively, would that be a workable feature?

Masked object within a masked object?
Is it possible to put a masked object (with clip) inside another mask? When I do this - the masked object within gets its clipped path released.
1 voteOne can apply a new opacity mask to an object that already has it, if you group this object first — then apply a mask to this container. However, if your object is a single group already, Illustrator won’t allow you to create another group (for obvious reason, to prevent an accidental 'group wrapping'). Copy and paste at pre selected place in group shape hierarchy
When did this change… I am 100% sure in the past when trying to paste a shape within the layered structure of a grouped set of objects.
Prior to pasting you could (A) Direct select, or maybe even double-click isolate a place in that layered grouping of shapes to specify where you want your newly pasted shape to go.
Before I could copy, hit (A), click an object with Direct Selection tool, and then when I hit Ctrl-F... or V… the pasted object/shape would sit on top of previously selected shape in that layered hierarchy.

Movie Clip symbol?
When a Symbol is created, it defaults to 'Movie Clip'.

Save color separations in separate files
Can we save JPG in each color separation? Because we can only see the separation in print preview, but we can not save the jpg in each color.

Affichage/Ajuster à la largeur
Je me trouve souvent à faire des mis en page sur Illustrator, mon logiciel fétiche de la suite adobe. Le zoom pour le plan travail est trop éloigné et de fois je dois faire deux fois zoom avant (Cmd "+" ) pour arriver sur un zoom sur la largeur du plan travail pour avoir un visuel idéal. Mais de fois c'est pas assez précis selon ou le pointeur est situé...
Avoir une option dans la fenêtre Affichage pour zoomer sur la largeur du plain travail me serait de grande utilité, surtout avec un raccourci du style "⌘⇧0"

ペンツールのカーソルが大きすぎて、使いづらいと感じています。
カーソルを自由に選べるようにならないでしょうか…？

Control stroke thickness spanning across the whole line.
Ability to control the stroke thickness on different points on a single line, much like how the gradient works, but with stroke thickness.

Bring Back Align To as a USER CHOICE !!
No ONE solution fits for ALIGN TO function. How about going back to when USERS HAD CHOICES. The fancy dynamic feature sucks. I want control BACK to what is being align. I don't want that. tool to change how it works. Bring Back Align To as a USER CHOICE !!

Disable bristle brush warning
Whenever a document contains any bristle brush (or expanded bristle brush strokes) you get a warning when you save the document that it contains complex shapes etc.
Could you please make it possible to completely disable this warning?
I know you can tick "Don't show again in the current session" but that's not enough. The warning pops up again the next time you open the document and working on multiple documents containing bristle brushes gets quite annyoing in the long run.
