I want the behavior to be the same
For Japanese version of Illustrator, I want Indesign to have the same selection range when adjusting the line spacing.
I sometimes get confused because each behaves differently in the same selection.

Some type of notification when a linked CC library asset has changed...
I'd like some type of notification when a CC library asset changes so I can choose to keep the current version (essentially un-linking it) or update to the latest version. This notification should happen when opening documents as well as while they are open. It does not have to be a modal dialog, it could also just be that the asset gets an icon or is highlighted somehow - but something noticeable. Better would be the ability to specify whether I want it to update art automatically, notify me that an updated asset is available by highlighting somehow, or notify…

Image skew potential
Image skew option like photoshop. Here we have to make envelope distort.

Turn off "Could not complete the requested operation. The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing"
I routinely work with large art files, and while I would love the drawing area to be unlimited, it seems like that's never going to happen.
In the meantime, please add an option to turn off the warning message; "Could not complete the requested operation. The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing area". I know when I use the transform tool and I've previously moved an object a great distance across the drawing area that I can't repeat that operation. I don't need to be reminded of that constantly. Changed color rounding
Since the update to Illustrator 24.1 the way color decimals are rounded has changed. So we can't update anymore.
We have lots of documents coming from RGB and must be translated into CMYK. After that we use a huge action to transform these colors. Because of the problem descriped before we have to stay on an old illustrator version to be able our workflow is running correctly.
We hoped that a newer version will solve the problem someday but nothing happend. Do we have to investigate days of work to update our workflow?

When Relinking to a CC Library Graphic, CTA Unclear
When relinking to a CC Library graphic, the buttons say "Cancel" and "Relink" but the current design/layout makes it read "Cancel Relink" unless hovered over—an easy fix; just space the buttons out.

Default overprint black text is missing in AI 2020 v24.2.3.
Several generations earlier this feature was the default. Although type is filled black by default, it is NOW not set to overprint. I have to select all the black type and manually open Attributes panel and select "overprint fill." This is counterproductive.

Opening Fresco files from the cloud with Illustrator
Hello, it's really great that Illustrator can now open files from the cloud. But unfortunately not the sketches from Fresco. You still have to export them first and then you can open them in Illustrator. It would be great if you could change that, i.e. open PSDC files from the cloud in Illustrator. Thanks a lot

You are now able to send Fresco files to Illustrator on the desktop with the latest version of Fresco and Illustrator. You can also place embed Fresco files in Illustrator. Please give it a try. In the future, we will also add smoother options to copy paste objects on both the Illustrator surfaces – desktop and iOS.

2D physics engine
Nothing too complex. Just an engine allowing user to apply rigid body and collider body to shapes and symbols. A timeline to play the effect, then we can bake a state into a frozen frame. Along the lines of Newton in After effects.

Grab symbols by bounding box points
When the Preference 'Object Selection By Path Only' is active, symbols can't be grabbed at the control points of the symbol's bounding box.
We can not move a Symbol by dragging a corner point.Please repair.

Allow pattern scale and position to be locked to objects...
I know that there is a setting when moving and scaling to apply the translations to patterns or not - but I'd like to be able to define that setting on an object-by-object basis.

More usable Layers panel
Can we have the Layers panel open like Adobe XD (aids renaming and hiding/locking)?
I would appreciate if the panel could make it easier to name and select layers. For example, if I have an item in the artboard selected, I don't need to select the little blue dot (see attached photo) for it to register that it's actually selected on the artboard, especially if I'm selecting more than one item. I end up having to hold Shift to select the Layers in the panel, and then clicking again on EVERY blue icon to select the items on the artboard…

make that tiny little ANCHOR and HANDLER bigger. I'm tired of failing to click that tiny rectangle every single second. PLEASE. I BEG YOU
1 voteThe size of handles can be changed in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, using the Size slider.
As for the selection tolerance for these — the problem with it is known and reported in a separate bug report: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/20358952-selection-tolerance-for-selecting-handles
Please vote if you want to get it fixed.

How long ago was Flash rebranded to Animate? Five years now?
The "Flash (SWF)" option in the Export As... dialogue should be "Animate (SWF)".

Measurements are not working correctly
If you want to make a new path with 100mm x 100 mm in dimensions and and do that via the transform palette then the path shows an incorrect size (100,013 mm x 100,009 mm) but only if the path has an outline. If there is just a colour filling then the measurement is correct.

1 voteThere's an option 'Used Preview Bounds' for that in Preferences, which toggles the behavior. When it’s on, Illustrator includes stroke weight into dimensions, and does not when it’s off.
