1. Isolate Selected Groups Does Not Work in CC 2019

   Spent 4 days following a tutorial thinking I was losing my mind.
   Then, it dawned on me I downloaded CC 2019 four days ago.
   Downloaded CC2017 and the operation works as advertised.
   Used especially for cartooning…
   Goes like this:
   1. Select all inked artwork>Object>Expand Appearances>Merge.
   Create and color a rectangle covering artwork.
   Select All>Merge
   Then>>>>>Right Click<<<< and click "Select Isolate Selected Groups”
   This will put editable color with all closed line work.

   The enclosed pic is where things go wrong in 2019
   Once Isolate Selected groups is clicked you should be able to delete the outside green in isolation mode and edit any enclosed area.

   You should get something that looks like the second pic.

   Works fine in 2017.

2. the letter "i" is sometimes not exported to SVG

   the letter "i" is sometimes not exported to SVG..
   For example: i tried to export the following paragraph to SVG:
   "Synchronization job is designed to perform file transfer between multiple agents back and forth, or perform one-way file transfer. Files in the shares can be modified, new file added and some deleted, and these changes synced to other agents in real time."

   the word "file" always gets exported as "fle"

3. With multiple projects open, can only view one tab

   In new AI2019, if I have multiple tabs open, only the tab originally opened is usable unless I open the other tabs in a new window.

   Thanks for reporting the issue. I tried reproducing this on my computer but couldn’t reach to your conclusion. Can you please share the steps and a screen shot if possible with us. Is this happening every time or in some specific scenario. Also please let me know on which OS are you working.

4. Saving as PDF includes Illustrator layers when "Create Acrobat Layers from Top-Level Layers" is turned off

   I often iterate ideas on multiple layers, then use the "Save as PDF" option to export a clean version with inactive/hidden layers omitted using "Create Acrobat Layers from Top-Level Layers" de-activated.

   However, I have noticed recently that when I re-open PDF files saved in this manner, the hidden Illustrator layers are still present, when the hidden data should have been omitted from the PDF.

   Please correct this, as it's causing Illustrator to generate PDF files that are larger than they need to be, with the inclusion of hidden layers, which may also include reference images and templates not needed in the output.

5. Offset Path Bug

   OS: Windows 10
   Illustrator CC 2018 Build 22.1 (64-bit)
   When working with Outlined Letters 9 times out of 10 it works.
   However 1:10 when I do Object > Path > Offset Path - one of the Anchor Points does not move. When this happens it always seems to occur within the plug of the letter and it appears to be an Anchor point that would have been straight down from its original position.

   In the Attached Image I show the original Path and Offset Path as outlines and the Anchor Points are illustrated by Cyan Circles.

   Bryan, as per the comment, please share the test file and provide the clear reproducible steps so the team can try to replicate this on their side.

6. Transform effect and Move dialog refuse to use negative numbers

   This has been a problem for a long time -- not just the current version of Illustrator. When applying a transform effect to an object and using the "move" part of the effect, negative numbers get converted to positive numbers. Occasionally I can "fool" the effect by not previewing the results but that doesn't work often. This happens whether I type in the numbers by hand or use the slider.

   Does anybody else have this problem today with the recent Ai builds?

7. Currently selected artboard not automatically highlighted as per normal

   Running Mac 10.13.6 and AI 22.1

   In all previous versions of Illustrator the artboard you are currently on remains highlighted so you know which on you are on.

   In this version, the artboard is only highlighted while working in it. If I click into a menu item (say 'Object') then the highlighted artboard disappears and I no longer know which one I am on. Clicking on the blank artboard, which usually highlights that clicked on artboard, doesn't work. The only work around is to click onto another artboard and then back to the first. I've had this issue maybe 6 times in the last few days but I don't know how to always reproduce it.

   Please confirm if this bug does not longer happens in the latest versions of Illustrator.

8. Paste Remembers Layers doesn't work if original layer is hidden

   Steps:
   Create object on layer.
   Copy object.
   Hide layer.
   Create new layer.
   Paste object with new layer selected.

   It will warn you that the layer you're attempting to paste onto is hidden. But... no it's not. I have the "Paste remembers layers" checkbox turned off.

   This is either a bug, or someone should stick close to someone who actually understands user expectations.

10. Illustrator CC is in Overprint mode super slow

    While working in overprint view , Illustrator slows down and starts freezing

    Im working on:
    HP Z440
    Intel Xeon E5 1620 v4 @ 3.50 GHz
    64 GB DDR4
    NVIDIA Quadro P4000 - 8192 MB
    Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit

    We have 2 other computers with specifications below, which work perfectly fine :

11. Devanagari scripts

    The use of devanagari scripts in most Creative Suite is really laborious. It took me a long time before finding the way to have a correct display of simple copy/paste from Word or any other source of hindi or sanskrit texts by adjusting, in TWO différents dialog boxes the appropriate settings. I finally found the way to do it but, as I wanted to use a composition in a webpage, I exported my composition as SVG, and the result was just terrible: no word was correctly spelled and I had to retype all of them in Dreamweaver (which has a ton of bugs, but poses no problem with devanagari script!).

    So, please make this feature work!

13. GPU Preview displaying hidden shapes

    In GPU Preview, turning off the visibility of a shape in the layers panel doesn't always hide the shape - it still remains on screen.
    If I switch to Outline view the shape is hidden correctly.
    If I switch back to GPU Preview the shape is still being displayed.
    I have to reboot Illustrator to get GPU Preview to work correctly again.
    And then it goes wrong again very soon afterwards.

    This has now happened several times.
    I've also had shape fills showing as incorrect colors in GPU Preview, eg. a square with a white fill, suddenly started displaying as a bright orange fill!

14. Files don’t get displayed when opened or displayed corrupted with Application Frame enabled

    These are not 'ideas' they are bugs, errors, problems - stop with the Orwellian language, just makes you look insincere and untruthful.

    The problem:
    When Application Frame is selected, files either do not display when opened or have a corrupted display. Doesn't happen every time, but quite often.

15. Targeting and moving selections between layers

    I just upgraded to Illustrator CC 2018 (22.1). The layers interface has more bugs than a bait store. For one thing, I can no longer move targeted selections between layers, and the "release to layers" (build or sequence) doesn't expand named layers properly.

    I'm a high-end packaging production designer. I have to work with vector art and therefore multiple layers are absolutely critical to mitigate file complexity. This is a serious problem as now I refuse to release mechanicals that would be untenable for vendors.

    I'll need to revert back to Illustrator CC 2017, and can only hope and pray that Version 22.1 hasn't already screwed up my files irreparably.

16. Text stroke misaligned in Illustrator and when placed in Photoshop as smart object

17. "Export as" not working as expected

    When I use File > Export > Xxport as ...e.g. png, using the "Use artboards" function the "Save As" dialog isn't working properly...

    Firstly, it doesn't save the name I typed exactly... "Version 1.2.png" it somehow uses parts of already existing file names like "Version 1.2_Text.png" which is really weird...

    Secondly, if I use parts of the name of a file that already exists like "Text_Version 1.2.png" in the saving process and Text.png already exists it asks me if I want to overwrite that file...

    If you still have the problem, please share a test file and a strict chain of steps to reproduce the problem, ideally with a video attached the team can follow. Please mention the exact names for the files already existing in the target folder also, if it matters.

18. Tools and panels never open

    I am having a problem with Illustrator since a few days now and I just don't find solution for it.
    Every time I open Illustrator it forgets that the Control panel, the Tools panel and the other panels such as Transparency, Layers, Color, etc. was opened. It is really annoying to open them every time.
    Could someone give a solution. And I am using the latest version of Illustrator for 2 months now I think, and it started to do this only a few days ago.

20. PDF gets saved and viewed as 'This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without PDF content'

    As of this morning my PDF files are saving very odd. I have been saving them the same way for YEARS. As of this morning they are saving this (see attached). HELP? This is how I save files for our website to show available homes for a community. Obviuosly this is not showing the flyer sheet it was saved as from. I save as PDF, have a preset created that I select & save. Usually it's my flyer - today it this. From every file I try it from. ?????

    If you get a PDF exported that gets viewed as 'This is an Adobe Illustrator file that was saved without PDF content' stamped messages, please send these to sharewithai@adobe.com and tell exactly what method you used to create it (Save Aa, Export As, Asset Export), with what parameters specifically.
