Importing JPEG images from the Photos app results in transparency or restricted display
In Illustrator for iPad, importing JPEG images from the Photos app results in transparency or restricted display. However, importing the same image from the Files app works fine. Please fix this Photos import rendering issue as it affects regular workflows.

Pen tool defaults to basic profile with each stroke.
Pen tool defaults to basic profile with each stroke. It holds its width if set to basic, but loses both width and profile when profile is set. Can Persistent Stroke Style not be an option in Pen Settings? I genuinely do not understand why anyone would want their pen tool to default to basic every time they draw a new line.

Bug: Crashing while organizing files
Under “Your files” on the app landing page, when attempting to move files to folders, the app often crashes. It seems to happen most often after files have been moved into a new folder when you attempt to navigate back up into the previous folder.

Crashing when choosing an image to place
I have the latest iOS on an 11inch iPad Pro and I was just using the app last week with no issues (albeit slow load times as usual) but now I’m trying to upload an image and every time it keeps crashing right after selecting the image. App is up to date, don’t want to try uninstall and risk losing my files unless that is my main option. Like I said this wasn’t an issue a couple weeks ago. For reference today is march 14 2025

Black isn’t coming up properly
I have tried selecting black and used the eyedropper but neither have worked, nor has reinstalling the app. It shows up fine when in Illustrator but once exported to PDF it comes up greyish.

Freezing & Paste Request
I’m experiencing several issues with Illustrator on my iPad:
The app freezes constantly, no matter what I’m doing or which file I’m working on.
It also freezes every time I try to use split view or switch between apps.
Every time I return to Illustrator, I get a paste request from the last app I used (Chrome, Safari, Pages) and have to deny it.1 vote -

Preserving layers
When saving an AI file, the layers are not preserved after sending or opening in a new file. I am having trouble with sharing a design with specific color details in each layer, as the layers are flattened into 1 layer after saving the file as an AI file.

Vectorize button dissapeared
I followed the steps to vectorize my image but the vector button is nowhere to be seen!

Layers don’t get refreshed ands still show up after deletion
With almost any project I work on, I have to exit and then re-open AI to get my layers to refresh and show accurately. Layers that were deleted still show up and I know it has gone belly up when I try to click on something and I get no response.
This has been happening the entire time I've used AI on the iPad. How can a glaring issue like this not be addressed?

Adobe Caslon Pro not rendering properly on 13” M4 iPad Pro
Adobe Caslon Pro is rendering oddly on the new iPad when I’m zoomed to 300% in my canvas. When I’m at 700% the jagged bits go away and it renders smoothly. Feel free to reach out for more info.

App closes/crashed whenever I try to start a new project or open existing.
The iPad app crashes every single time I tried to open a project, start a new project, Import something no matter what I do it just crashes. This is beyond a waste of my money since I can’t even use the app and very frustrating. I’d like to talk to support honestly..
