Processor usage indicator I often struggle with not knowing if nothing is happening because what I am trying to do is not supported, or if nothing is happening because the M 1 processor is just busy doing the calculations needed to execute my command.
As illustrator is rather processor consuming, it is often the latter, but I never know for sure until waiting time is over, or until I have given up hope and jumped to some other function. Some kind of “the iPad processor is busy calculating your request, please hold”-indicator would be extremely helpful thank you.1 vote -

Drag layer on to another to create clipping mask Having used Affinity designer for a while I am blown away by the whole UI. It makes using illustrator a chore in comparison but I need to have After effects compatibility. A stand out feature is being able to drag a layer on top of another to create a clipping mask. It also doesn’t delete the mask layer so no need to duplicate it first if you want to keep the mask source. It is a much better solution than Adobe and should be added to desktop and iPad!

Smart guides in Mirror Tool I would love to see the mirror tool use smart guides. It is so hard to try and line up shapes without it.

“Actual Size” It would be really useful for me to be able to set the viewing percentsge to “actual size”. Something Apple’s Pages on iPad already does.
100% zoom is actually much smaller than real print size. What I end up doing is creating a 1cm square in Illustrator and aligning it with a physical ruler to get actual size.
