Top menu bar
This iPad illustrator needs to have a top menu bar with drop downs like the desk top version. With file, edit, and most of the other drop downs. I am a self taught user and have been using the desktop version for 26 years. it is the main tool I use for graphics for my screen printing business. I feel like I need to relearn with this IPad version and I don’t want to relearn I am getting to old

Customizable shortcuts
Make it just like the desktop version. I have many shortcuts customized in the desktop version and it would be great to have them in the ipad version. If you could import them it would be even better!

Trackpad / Mouse Panning Function
The current panning function is only possible for touch with 2 fingers.
Would be really nice to have a panning function or tools like the desktop version when used on desktop mode (using ipad with external keyboard & mouse/trackpad)16 votes -

Symbols, Symbol sprayer, sizer, and other symbol tools
Symbols in general are very useful, but especially the symbol tools could benefit from the Apple Pencil greatly, helping in making things such as starry skies or simple textures quickly, easily, and with the precise paths and shapes one may want for those textures or stars. It would also make the iPad illustration process a bit more procedural while remaining intuitive.

Battery view
I would really like to be able to see my iPads battery life while like actually illustrating. Goes for all y’all’s apps. These things pull battery. It’s nice to know where we’re at battery wise - and I have to exit out of my drawing to see it.

Mouse and keyboard skills (like a computer)
Hello.I have a suggestion for your next updates. I have been using vectonator etc on ipad for a while. I produce logos with alternative programs. But today I wanted to try the Adobe illustrator version for ipad. My first impression is good, except one thing. I use my iPad with the mouse and keyboard for both a computer and a drawing tablet. But in the iPad version of Adobe illustrator, unfortunately, there is no zoom in and out or dragging the page with the Mouse Scroll. I want these controls to be added to the options that we can activate…

Add color palettes to library
It would be nice if we could add the color palettes created in Illustrator on iPad to the cc library to be able to access these from the desktop as well. This was a feature I missed in Fresco as well. It would be nice if we could just select color swatches from the document and add all the colors to a group at the same time, just like in the desktop version.

Incremental nudge
The ability to nudge objects in any direction incrementally would be helpful to adjust the spacing accurately between objects, similar to using the cursor keys in the desktop version

I would love to be able to do my line work in AI for iPad and finish the color in Fresco. Please allow for exporting to Fresco.

Scale strokes and effects separately via options in dialogs.
Please split the "Scale strokes and effects" into two options, one for strokes, and one for effects. See mockup attached.

Swatches - Gradient, Pattern, and Etc
Would be really nice to see swatches in a tab of its own, Currently it’s a little awkward to navigate through the small window and the swatches are very small making color combos difficult to distinguish. We’re also missing all the glory or gradient, pattern and misc swatches that are available on the desktop. Bring em to the iPad please :) !
In addition a shortcut “i” for eyedropper tool would be great (or some version that is more aligned with the desktop possibilities and easy to grab color)

Save to local storage/other options
Ability to save files on the iPad´s local storage as well as other cloud services. Full integration with the Files app might be the way to go about this.
In short, I don’t want Creative Cloud to be my only choice to save files.
