1. Rulers, rotate, export options, and nudge:

   So far this app has been a delight to use and it’s wonderful to have a iPad version of the design program I use so much. On my desktop. That said - there are a few features that I would have liked to see. Some of these are features available in other iPad design programs, and a couple are things available on the desktop version. I’ve only been using the app for a few hours and could have used these features several times over. In no particular order:

   Rotate - using a two finger gesture to rotate the artboard.

   Rulers - having rulers in whatever units the artboard has designated in settings. I know there’s a grid but it’s not as useful as a ruler would be.

   More export options - I would like to see options such as PDF and JPG available. I am probably in a minority, but I am a laser artist and my machine operates on vector files that are saved as PDF files. I’d like to be able to run everything from my iPad without having to go back to the desktop.

   Nudge - tapping the screen with the select tool (or maybe a separate nudge tool) to slightly move an object would be very useful.

2. Layer edits

   We should be able to rename delete copy cut or paste the layers
   More editing options for layer should be there.

   That’s all otherwise amazing software to use

5. Tangent Mode

   Like AutoCAD’s drafting functions, having a robust system of snaps to make shapes align perfectly tangent, perpendicular, etc. to each other would do WONDERS for any designer.

9. Should be able to select/edit layer by simply selecting.

   On the native app, when you click on a layer, the layer is highlighted and you have the ability to move that layer as long as it’s not blocked. On the iPad, it seems that you can only select a layer by looking for the layer directly from the layer panel.

   This is very frustrating and tedious, and honestly puts me off using the app. Something so simple to remedy.

11. Measurement window blocks information

    Measurement window many times blocks me from seeing important information. It doesn't allow me to work freely. Just get stuck in the middle of a shape..

13. Remove Snap to Pixel as Permanent Default

    At the present moment, there is no way to turn off the default snapping to pixel. For my work style, I need the fully free moving ability like the desktop version has. Even turning off the snapping option doesn’t stop anchors and guides from snapping to pixel.

    If I am mistaken and I am simply missing a toggle elsewhere in the app, please let me know.

17. Dark mode - layer thumbnails and combine shapes panel hard to see

    When Illustrator (iPad) is in dark mode, the layer thumbnails also have a black background. This makes seeing objects in the thumbnails difficult. I see similar legibility issues in the combine shapes panel.

    Of course, this is when I'm creating dark or black colored shapes, or just working with outlines without fills.

    But, the desktop Illustrator maintains the light colored backgrounds for the layer thumbnails. Maybe it's just a consistency shock for me, but I'd like them to look the same...

20. add Width Tool, Rotate Canvas, Swatches, Align To, Overlap, Desktop options in Isolation Mode

    I look at Vectornator and Procreate and I saw how complex and user friendly Thayer were able to make their apps as a substitute for Adobe Illustrator now being iPad friendly. I used them to substitute what Adobe didn’t provide on iPad. Now we have it and it is NOT NEARLY close to what the other apps have accomplished and they are without half the staff and workmanship power Adobe provides. I don’t believe we can have excuses with this... too long a wait and I expect you would not need so much suggestions to make right what you already know you need to do. Adobe Illustrator iPad SHOULD NOT be looked at as an extension to Desktop...... that is what Illustrator Draw was for. It should always have been looked at as the mobile application that stands buy itself, especially in the fast-forward mobile world we now live in. I need Adobe to do A LOT better.
